Sure, there's Fences and Doors, but does it come with the combo model: The Gate?

Why yes it does, and not only that, you get 4 of them!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! \m/ (>o<) \m/

I notice a large hole in the box. Pieces could easily fall out! Maybe they need to put one of the door pieces up so that they can't :)

LEGO was pretty smart: fencing doors in a box with a window.

But this was back when LEGO was 90% DIY.

It's kinda sad when the ASCII art in someone's comment is more refined than the box art for the set.

By in Canada,

I would buy a few of this set if it was still available. Nowadays, there are a lot of parts available on PaB but many old basic parts are only available in white, grey, black, brown or gold. There are many pieces which have become especially rare in red, blue and yellow (The basic Lego colours). The last occurrence of these fences in red is 2007 in a bucket; 1996 for the yellow ones and 1986 for the blue ones. Apparently, there were green ones in the early 70s.

I had this set, I loved those fences and gates. It must have just before I got set 361.

That…depends on how loosely you define the term “house”.

"Doors and corners, kid. That's where they get you."

Aha. An Upright Grids and Potential Jars pack! Very niche parts, especially for the time period, but it's cool they sold them in packs.

But what I really need right now is for someone to sell a guide to making less terrible and vague jokes.

In my defense, I adore them.

I really like these simple graphics! Fitting for the subject.

This set seems likely to produce a fence. No wonder they don’t make it anymore.

By in Spain,

Nowadays we get a black background box with 3k pieces of doors and fences

For only $229,99

And with a nostalgic GWP as bait

Looks like another thing they came up with before SPACE.

Glad I was still a toddler.

By in Netherlands,

I would call you up this Saturday, right
And we'd both stay out 'til next morning light
And we sang
"Here's a door again."

And though time goes by
I will always be on the fence with you in 1973

Singing "Here's a door again."

Another set that relies on heavily specialised pieces… it was so much better when I was a lad…

I miss those gates in sets, they really are nice pieces.

@madforLEGO: I never got any when I was a kid, but I've wanted some for a long time. One of these days I may have to see what they go for on Bricklink.
