He has merged with the car!

Those body pieces are really disturbing! I’m not sure to many people race with just a baseball cap though.

All the other ones haven’t been LEGO?

So is it called the psychomobile? or the wheeled weirdo? nope it's just called green Lego car.

By in Brazil,

I have that set. I mean, I had the parts (from various used part lots) and built it... so I consider as owned.

That small pull-back cars era was peak Lego Racers, 4299 is awesome.

"Don't worry son there's no monster"

This set:

That is the face of someone who sat in front of one of those swirling black and white spirals while a team of mad scientists surgically fused him into a vehicle chassis. Now all he can say is

I don’t know where I am.
I don’t know who I am.

All I know is I must drive green car.

So I guess we’re using the motorcycle definition of “body color”, where “body” may be nothing more than a gas tank the size of an underfed Thanksgiving turkey..

By in Germany,

Whoa... Until today I never realized this set included a second head to build a female version of the driver - and it's a fairly uncommon head too: Princess Storm from Knights' Kingdom I!

EDIT:
I never tried it, but those Drome Racers torsos might look kinda interesting on Star Wars Microfighters.

"Car" sounds like quite the exaggeration.
Looks more like a Go-cart to me.

Well, it sure is green. Sort of. And sure is a car. Sort of. And it even has a driver! Sort of.

So this is clear retaliation to my comment yesterday...

I agree, and I believe there is still so much potential in those pull-back motors. They can be used in Speed Champions sets, for example. I had one and even used it in a 4 stud vehicle.

By in Netherlands,

This has a second head shared with Princess Storm from yesterday's castle.

Oh, somebody beat me to it!

Well, did you know that 4301 also has a female head and hairpiece as a secondary option?

If you had that print as your face, you would never take off the Nesquik mask either.

While I always liked those body pieces (and I agree with @Atuin that they'd be fun to use in a Microfighter; in fact I've suggested it before), I agree with you that this guy needs better headgear.

But it's a "Mini U.S. Cap" according to the database. USA! USA! USA!

Actually, that piques my curiosity: do folks in Europe, etc. refer to this type of "baseball" hat as an "American cap"?

Is he holding the steering wheel or not?

This is not a Minifigure!

2003 was firmly in the middle of my Dark Ages. This set is a good example of why.

That’s “‘Murican cap”.

In the part inventory, it says it contains a woman's black ponytail hair piece, but it's clearly not in the set!

That is indeed a theme with Huwbot recently.

I'm just puzzled why today's set includes an alternate black hairpiece, presumably to go with the lady head - even though the hair Storm's head has printed on it is red. Meanwhile the other set you mention supplies a hairpiece that *is* red, and doesn't necessarily need to be since Lucky's head in that set doesn't have printed hair and so would work with a hairpiece of any colour.

I wonder if at some point in production they switched which female head went in each set, and forgot to switch the hairpieces to match...?
