Indeed they are! And they're populated by... whatever species those guys are.

By in New Zealand,

Should call this a Kaiju set with the size of those creatures.

By in Australia,

Is it just me or does those weird brick-built figures look kind of nightmarish?

4+ sets have certainly changed in the last twenty years, haven't they?

@PurpleDave, from yesterday: I wasn't talking about the set; I thought the onscreen ones converted into a wheel.

By in New Zealand,

Cool ideas, I especially like the chrome piece representing the siren, but those figures are just WRONG!

Bring back the Destroyer Droid! We have need of its services!

@TheOtherMike:
Oh, yeah, the movie ones formed more of a wheel, but being CGI they could more easily fold those arms and front legs in towards the centerline. The set couldn't get away with that. My Bionicle version did a little better job, but even that had physical limitations due to the parts used.

They look Canadian...like how Canadians are depicted in South Park.

I happen to like those ‘figures.’ Cute fireman and policeman in dynamic poses. Great teeth too.

Hmmmm...when did Lego make Terrace and Phillip from "South Park"...and when did TLG give them jobs with the Police and Fire Departments (which ever one id with which...:))

By in Netherlands,

I remember finding this one again and again in the Creator section of the 2004 catalog. It was my first square one of the type we still get today. Good times.

But seeing this in HD those mouths do look strange. I do however like the buildings. Decent designs considering the bricks used!

Good job the emergency services are here, there’s been a huge explosion in the distance!

By in Poland,

I remember seeing this set in the 2004 catalog, and I remember I didn't understand this set. I always thought that sets that couldn't accommodate minifigs were a bit pointless.

F__k off, hoser!

(sowrry).

BTW, T&P on SP was second season (1998).

This info from a fellow Colorado dude who was born 50 miles from SP (we also played Columbine H.S in sports) and whose great, great grandpa was a Canuck. ;)

No, you're not alone and yes, yes, they are.

Lmao. White people.
But this was realky great partpack. We need more sets like these with basic bricks and windows/doors.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Those figures sure are......something....

Other than that, this to me is a pretty much perfect 4+ set. Nothing fancy, just mostly basic bricks in not too many colors. As a step up from Duplo, perfect to learn the basics of building with Lego, only limited by imagination. Even the instructions are great, just look at that white tower: show one layer, then just repeat until you run out of bricks.

They just released 11035 : Creative Houses , which is a decent one for that, 5 different doors, but the windows and door frames are not rainbow colored, so useful for larger building as well, at least it's bigger then some previous variants

(11008: Bricks and Houses or 11004: Windows of Creativity had less doors/windows, and 10703: Creative Builder Box had only a few of each color)

I do miss a classic set that purely focuses on slopes to make big "classic" creator houses again. 11037 : Creative Space Planets does contain a variation of smaller slopes, but a slope focused set like 11030 : Lots of Bricks would be nice to see. (21058: The Great Pyramid of Giza does have a ton of those "roof" pieces in white, but it's not as cheap as a classic brick box would be)
