Help! I'm holding on for dear life because I couldn't see how fast I was going through the helmet visor!

I'm not a gamer, so is this Mario-Kart?

He seems to have a Shell.

Huwbot's been on a bit of a racing theme lately. First, he chose a go-kart racer for RMotD, then he chose the ramp crash Racers set two days ago!

He’s from the company that makes them. Someone needs to test them out, after all…

At least it's not blue.

Simplicity incarnate, love it. I'll take anything that has System logo on it.

By in Netherlands,

To me the pose reads as a dynamic entry jump over the back onto the cart.

If you can believe it, this was from the 1999 Shell promotion. Some of the other sets are from the at the time conventional Town theme.

But the car is already moving. I do see where you're coming from though.

A bit too much go, given how he’s flying out of it!

By in Turkey,

I've always imagined that these black visors had HUDs built into them since there are no gauges in the vehicles.

I love this: such a small set would otherwise be boring, but the furious scene makes it a whole lot better!

That's some serious air resistance or he is just showing off his acrobatic skills while driving. The set goes well racing against his twin mini-fig in the dragster 1250.

The G-force is strong with this one!

D'at boys 'bout to R-U-N-N,O,F-T!

Sadly, in 1999, even polybag go-karts were juniorised--at least, to my eyes, this does not look like one of the better examples of the genre.

Go, kart, go! See go kart go, see go kart go fast.

Push-start, like luge. But with wheels and a wide-open track.

@Lego_lord:
It’s more fun if you imagine it’s like the helmet Luke used for lightsaber practice in Ep4…

Likely an impulse buy set, or one for the car trips to keep the kids occupied for a short time.

Could also see this set or one similar to its size offered for hitting one of the early buckets on the old Bozo Show's Grand Prize Game.

OMG! This was the first oldest set I owned! I'm very excited that it appeared in the RSOTD!

I wonder if he has a go-cart license. I hope he doesn't get into a crash!

Fond memories of the days when Lego set pictures were of the actual product and not some AI generated pantsless renderings.

Management: we have heard that minifigs can’t hold steering wheels, so this set has to be pictured with a minifig being able to hold one to show that it’s possible.
