Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random set is 30131 Jack Sparrow's Boat, released during 2011. It's one of 14 Pirates of the Caribbean sets produced that year. It contains 22 pieces and 1 minifig.
It's owned by 2,542 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $25.20, or eBay.

Captain!
A boat? I've seen a boat! Yeah yeah, it went this way, and then it went that way!
A sail, a cutlass, and a bottle of rum- what more d'ya need?
Boat optional/superfluous.
Oh, and a cocky smirk. ;)
That is without doubt the worst boat I've ever heard of.
"I'm sorry, its just such a pretty boat. Ship!"
No, no. I think it's fair to just call this one a boat
I guess you could say it's a boat fit for a sparrow?
False advertising!
It doesn't say 'boat cannot float with minifigure' anywhere.

But you *have* heard of it.

As this seems to be based on the first time we see Jack Sparrow, I wouldn't expect the boat to float.

Making a first appearance like only Jack Sparrow could do.
Im not much of a POTC fan, but this scene is hilarious where he steps off the crow's nest straight onto the jetty.
This was distributed over here amidst some City and Creator polybags at the Gamma hardware store chain as a promotional. I wouldn't go out of my way to get it now, but I aways wanted it the most out of them due to it being a pirate set and due to it being a POTC set. The tricorn hat hair part especially still intrigues me as it's otherwise mostly found in the large sets.
The figure alone is enough. Such a great movie character and beautifully created by Johnny Depp. The boat is an excuse to increase the parts count I guess.

The boat is there to provide a small buildable toy, like most polybags at the time.
He's gonna need a bigger boat!
Jack Sparrow is my favorite Johnny Depp character.
OK, that might be a bit like saying the Austin Princess is my favorite British Leyland car, but still.
That minifig is awesome.
This boat much better matches the one used at the ending of At World's End rather than his first one.

Ok, perhaps this set needs a bucket as well. ;)

Maaan, I wanted to add this comment! :(
It's not much of one, but it's still a vehicle. So we're back to that.
Wanted this polybag ever since I saw it. Recently, I finally built it after finding a new Captain Jack Sparrow for a good price.
Boy, they would make some money by releasing more ships from POTC.
Yo-ho Yo-Ho a pirates life for me...

Well, it’s floating in the cover art, so that’s clearly wrong for the opening of CotBP for sure.
From the greatest dramatic hero entrance ever!
Lego POTC feels like a fever dream after all of this time. Independent of present controversy, the Jack minifigs were exceptionally detailed for the time and I wish I picked one up, especially since you could get them for cheap with DS accessory kits.

Eh, he was barely ever captain of that ship anyways.
Looks like Jack is racing in one of those one-person Laser sailing contests, where a sword is useful if anyone tries to steal your line and a swig of the bottle to pass the time.

But the rum is gone. The rum is always gone (why is the rum always gone?).
One of the few PotC sets I am missing. I have all the main sets, I only am missing a few polybags. Much to my annoyance. I don't need more Jack Sparrows, but I still want this set. The tricorn variety of jack is more rare, and I guess he is good parts for piratey minifigs.

I'll trade you this polybag for the Queen Anne's Revenge (the one set that _I'm_ missing).

Ship for a ship.
So funny, I started rewatching the movies a few days ago and watched the Dead Man's Chest on the 4th of July
Pretty sure this was in one of those insane Daily Mail giveaways at one point, which would explain why I've still got a whole heap of these knocking around!

To quote Johnny Depp from another movie:
"Bad trade."
