This set is so cool, it's definitely one of the better Clone Wars sets out there.
I'd love to see an Imperial version of this from Rebels. It absolutely HAS to come with Governor Pryce, Rukh, and a Loth-Wolf!

Yes please!! Or maybe an Ahsoka show version, to get Enoch, and more night troopers

You stole the words right out of my mouth!
I regret not getting this set because I think that vehicle is cool, but I just didn't need it at the time.
With how frequently it turned up in Rebels I was hoping there would be an Imperial Version with characters like Governor Pryce and Rukh, another chance at Zeb or something, but Rebels clearly didn't rake in the bucks on LEGO's end because they gave up after Season 2 with the exception of The Phantom II. I'm grateful for Blind Kanan and Thrawn, but where are the other Season 3 and 4 looks and characters? Where's Rebels Maul? Where's Rebels Hondo? Where's Seasons 3 and 4 Sabine? Where's the Loth-Wolves? Where's Saw Garerra's U-Wing? Where's an Interdictor? Where are the Imperial Supercommandos? Where's my moose-gorilla man Bendu? Come on, there's so much cool stuff in Seasons 3 and 4 of Rebels.
But back to Clone Wars, well, there's still a bunch of stuff missing there, too. In regards to this set, anything depicting Ventress with her Bounty Hunter look would have been cool. Anything extra with Mandalore at the time would have also been welcome. Another chance at Pre Vizsla, another chance at Savage, more Mauldalorians, etc. We did eventually get stuff depicting the Siege of Mandalore for the Final Season, which is great, but we need more Mauldalorians, they're severely outnumbered.
But back to Season 5 stuff, well, Onderon's got nothing except maybe a bit pterodactyl-y looking thing, it's just more minifigs we never got, and I doubt anyone's on the hunt for anything D-Squad related unless you just want Gregor. We do have yet to see a Clone Commando in minifig form (the Bad Batch technically wear the armor, but a typical Clone Commando is absent from the lineup). But imagine people paying for a set with Gregor just for it to also come with Meebur Gascon and WAC-47... Well actually, people would totally buy that set, but nobody would actually care about the other two. Meebur Gascon's cool, but no thanks to WAC, he can die in a pit. Sadly, he lives forever as a droid...
Given that SW blasters tend to fire either green or red, I feel like red isn't the best color for a cockpit. 50% chance you won't even be able to tell that someone is shooting at you.
I never really liked this vehicle, probably because it looks too evil. It's in Separatist colors, it has loose design parallels to TIE Fighters, and it's very inelegant compared to the majority of Republic vehicles. It definitely felt way more at home as an Imperial craft in Rebels, and even if the original idea was to foreshadow Imperial design much like Eta-2 Interceptors and V-Wings, this personally leaned in a little too much to be seen as fitting alongside LAAT/is, V-19s, Delta-7bs, etc.
That said, I can see why people like this set. The build looks alright, it includes Anakin and Ahsoka in their Phase 2 outfits, and two colorful clones. It's just not my cup of tea, I had fallen off of TCW by the time this set came out, and though I'd later go back to the show and enjoy the parts I missed, my personal CWMMP preferences bias me in favor of Phase 1 clones and less-evil Republic ships.
The price of those troopers is...shocking.
I had the choice of getting this or an iPod touch for my birthday. I sometimes wonder what would have happened if I got this instead…
The price of those troopers is insane.
Yeah, i like that ship. Very sci-fi

While we are on the topic of wanting sets, I would like a duel set from the Acolyte, mainly to get Sol and Qimir, a droid landing ship, and a lucrehulk, a MBS Naboo palace, MBS Geonosian arena, are remake of 7133, dioramas of Palpatine's arrest and duel on Mustufar, remakes of several CW ships, a playscale Venator, a Imperial V-wing remake from the BB, and finally an Imperial version of this set.
Given how samey a lot of Star Wars ships can be, this one and its chunky, angular body and huge front visor stand out as being notably different, definitely part of why it looks cool.
When I finally got my hands on one I paired it up with 70815, felt they definitely had similar vibes going
As a toy it kind of seems impractical. Still glad this one was made though.
£50! That thing would be £90 now!
Excellent play set with numerous play features and good minifig selection.

I was going to say those are 2014 pounds, but converted that would still be 66,94 British pounds today apparently. So, good point!
That said, I recall this one being very hard to find at the time, as it was an 'exclusive' mostly found in select stores. As such, the price might have been higher back then as whoever sold it could ask more and still get away with it as there was not much competition. At least, if those stores are anything like the sorry state of the current Dutch toy store selection...

I know it's a joke, but much like the FO ships the windscreen is actually trans-black or trans-clear and it's the red light emanating from the cockpit that makes the windscreen appear red to the viewer and thus also probably the designers of the sets.
Anyway, this set looks great and the way the windscreen opens is practical for use but also accurate to the show. It has plenty of space in the back for troops in the small rear troop bay which also has a probe droid so you can recreate the troops and Anakin looking for Ahsoka in the lower levels of Coruscant.

Now I'm picturing the two teaming up to hunt down Han Solo. Yes, I know that this a Republic ship, not an Imperial one, but give it time...
Got this for Christmas back in the day! Didn't have much use for the ship, since I preferred combat vehicles (and this was before they had been widely used in Rebels), but I thought the figures were cool! I sold it to reinvest in Technic a few years later, but seeing the $285 CAD prices today on Bricklink makes me wish I'd been able to be more patient!
Never saw this on the shelves where I live back in 2014. I managed to pick it up years later for a not-too-extreme price.
I hope they release or make an imperial version of this model at some point.

Yes, it was such a prominent ship in Rebels - it really should have been a set!

Given Han’s…questionable relationship with the law I can imagine the Republic might have a host of reasons they might have wanted to track him down too
This is great, this is a set that needs to be remade.
Now that it’s in Jedi Survivor, I regret not getting it years earlier.
Lovely design!

I suppose they could also redo the Clone Wars version too. Throw in 2 Shock Troopers, Sergeant Hound (with a new Grizzer mold), and a new Asajj Ventress (with her helmet; they can literally just reprint Wrecker's) and you can't go wrong!

Wow, a real ‘sliding doors’ moment.
Do you regret the choice you made? Or have you made peace with it?
