LEGO Horizon Adventures launches November 14th, now available for pre-order
Posted by TheBrickPal,
LEGO Horizon Adventures, developed by Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, was announced during the Summer Game Fest event in June.
Last week, during Sony's State of Play livestream, a release date was revealed - November 14th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
Following the release date announcement, the game is now available for pre-order today, both from digital storefronts and major retailers.
A spinoff of Sony's Horizon series, the game follows the same plot as 2017's Horizon Zero Dawn, but with the more lighthearted, irreverent twist that LEGO is known for.
You can view the trailers thus far, and more information, after the break...
As shown in the pre-order trailer, those who purchase the game early will unlock the Shield-Weaver Outfit in-game.
In the trailer, multiple other unlockable outfits are also shown, like one based on Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet, as well as Ratchet and Rivet from the Ratchet & Clank series.
One can only wonder if these are PlayStation franchises that will be represented in physical LEGO form in the future, as Horizon was in 2022's 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck. There is especially potential with Ratchet & Clank, Insomniac Games' platforming shooter series with an optimistic tone and bright aesthetic that matches LEGO's own values well.
I envisage more Horizon models being developed, such as the Thunderjaw, if the game performs well. There are many machines that could be made into sets with relative ease. Minifigures such as Varl, Erend, Teersa, Sylens, Helis, and new Aloy variants would also be welcome.
Are you looking forward to the game? Does the potential of more LEGO PlayStation products excite you? Let us know in the comments below!

My PS5 Pro preorder coming in 5 weeks time! Currently using the 2nd Edition PS5 with Western Digital 4TB SSD and an external 5TB USB HDD.
Will be getting this game for sure, so far I have most of the Lego games bar Lego Hobbit and that new weird Lego puzzle game.
Can't believe that Sony skinned Sackboys corpse after putting him down and turned him into a costume for a less-interesting mascot of a less-interesting (but not necessarily bad) IP. It's honestly depressing seeing him here, considering how we may never got a new LBP game...
So excited for this to come out! I can't wait to explore all the majestic brick-built worlds!
Honestly I can see Ratchet and Clank being at least a set or two in the future. I would gladly buy any set day 1, as I grew up with the series.
Now if only Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper got the same amount of love...
Side note, but it seems that LEGO is trying to turn the concept of "LEGO [semi-popular IP] Adventures" into a franchise, as a mobile game called "LEGO Hill Climb Adventures" released not too long ago, based on "Hill Climb Racing". From what I've played, it's just fine, but I'm honestly surprised that I haven't heard anyone talk about it...
As someone who played PONG in his youth I don’t think I’m member of the target audience.
Yawn.... Next.
The game looks amazing! And the sets that should come out of it could be really good, fingers crossed!

Pong was my first videogame as well (though I spent way more time at arcades), but I am SO the target audience for this. Still play lots of games, and I like building LEGO. The Travelers Tales LEGO games have been a part of my DNA since the first Star Wars game.
REALLY hope that thus is a Harbinger of more Horizon sets. There are some awesome MOCs out there but I’d love to see official product.
I would buy these figs... couldn't care less for the game
I remember reading Huw commenting that Brickset tends to stay away from reporting on Lego games and other media if it doesn’t involve physical bricks.
However I think this is a really good little post. It covers the game as well as random Lego-ified things that potentially COULD manifest as physical bricks in the future.
I would welcome more posts like this for future games or other media.

It would be truer to say that "**Huw** tends to stay away from reporting on Lego games and other media if it doesn’t involve physical bricks." but if our other correspondents with an interest in them like TheBrickPal wish to do so, that's absolutely fine, and I encourage it.

Oh, don't give me false hope! Especially with Sly.
HORIZON ZERO DAWN is an absolutely amazing game - I haven't played FORBIDDEN WEST yet, but I think I've heard that the new Adventures game is essentially its own story with the same setting/characters. Still, I will probably wait until after I've finished the sequel before picking this up, just in case.
I would love some more sets based on the franchise, though! A huge Thunderjaw set would be a dream come true.

I also played PONG and I'm absolutely the audience for this.
I love the Horizon games, and am hoping very much that means there will be more sets coming for the franchise. If LEGO release Ratchet and Clank sets it will be instant purchases for me!
"Alloy Aloy" Ha! That's perfect!
I love the LEGO Movie style of animation and maps they chose for this game!
No fig with physical version. I'll pass till a sale. Itll be half off soon enough
It's a shame that it's not coming to PS4 like LEGO Bricktales did which I believe uses a similar engine. Many haven't moved to the PS5 yet because of the lack of exclusive games (not on PS4) but that seems to finally be changing.

I think it's a great balance. You get the games, which are a big part of LEGO nowadays, but of course the bricks and speculation of possible sets. May I suggest in articles like this comparing game models with official sets that are (or maybe) released in the reviews of either the sets or games? I think it could be a good way to always tie it back to the brick.
Game looks interesting, will probably try it out. I REALLY hope we get some more sets, love the horizon games and the tall neck was such an interesting build and is still one of my favorite sets today.
Fingers crossed for the Thunderjaw set.
Can't see a horizon with any of those pics.

But I can see an adventure!
A game news, what a miracle!
Since I'm a fan of the franchise and have the Tallneck set, the game is a must have. However I read the campaign lasts 14 hours or less, so I'll buy it with a discount on the Store.

Unrelated point but PLEASE put out more LEGO Ideas entries! I love the way you build and would love to support any project you put up :)
Also is there any way to get the instructions for the original Green Dragon in the D&D challenge entry? I really want to build it!

I've never played R&C but I don't think it would fit in LEGO's values with South Park-esque titles of games like "Up Your Arsenal."

Fair, but it is weird how it's a sackboy costume and not someone more recent like astro bot, right?

I understand why the title innuendos would make you think otherwise, but Ratchet & Clank is a pretty kid-friendly series for the most part - especially the movie, its tie-in game, and Rift Apart most recently.
Also, most of the games are rated E10+, so a lower rating than games like Horizon, Fortnite, Overwatch, and Portal, which LEGO has made sets for. That puts it at the same rating as most Sonic the Hedgehog games and the most recent Legend of Zelda games, so to say that LEGO wouldn't want to touch it just because of the titles is odd to me.
Does look like a potential inspiration for some great physical sets! I bought 76989 very quickly despite not knowing or caring about the game from which it was taken.

A good but very time-consuming article could be written by CapnRex detailing models of ships, locations, or objects seen in Lego Star Wars games that haven’t yet been released as sets.
As I understand it, Lego’s own product designers are involved with coming up with the models that are used in the games and are about as close as you can get to an ‘official’ rendition of so many items that have never been realised as a set you can buy. This includes minifigures too.
I wish there was a physical edition option that came with a minifigure
Digital pre-order games are ridiculous. Just buy it when you want to play it.
I don't know if I've ever been more disappointed that a game won't be available on Xbox (well, aside from the actual Horizon games!). That disappointment would largely disappear if we were to get more sets based on the franchise though!
Looks like a great game, but assuming very similar plot to the original Horizon game which is available in secondary markets for £6 asking £60 is tough on the pocket money. I understand that is has been graphically enhanced for the PS5, but like 95% of PS owner under the age of 16 the kids still have a PS4 so this isn't going to help sales.

the second game could be the best game ever made, but it isn’t. I play on the hardest modes but this one is just simply garbage. If you can deal with that, you will have a lot of fun.

Lego fortnite when it isn't having a bad day is finally getting close to being a reasonable functioning build game...so maybe theres hope going foward"
Eh. The TT games are pretty fine. I see them as the video game equivalent as comfort food, as you always know what your getting yourself into.
But yeah, the dedicated building games are mostly always terrible.
Also, LEGO Fortnite has been designed with updates in mind, so it will probably be much better in a couple of years time.

I've heard the difficulty of FORBIDDEN WEST is pretty frustrating and not in a good way - lots of stun locking, things of that nature.
I got the Platinum trophy for ZERO DAWN which required playing on the hardest difficulty, and it was mostly a fair challenge. I am expecting when I play FORBIDDEN WEST I'll be dialing it down for my first playthrough just so I don't get overly frustrated.
I do hate that a lot of game devs these days are seemingly chasing DARK SOULS in terms of controller-snapping difficulty. There's a fine line between HARD AND FUN and HARD AND NOT FUN and a studio has to be very careful in order to nail that balance. Also, not every game NEEDS to be a hair-tearing experience.
The game engine looks really great. I’m just not sure I need to play a new LEGO version of a game I’ve already played.
Making LEGO game versions of movies and TV made so much more sense to me.
I have all 3 Horizon games (Zero Dawn, Forbidden West, Call of the Mountain) and their extension when available - completed them a few times - to me, best games of all times. I will eventually get this when the price is fair (because technically, this is not a new game but only a port). I would buy any sets with Varl, Erend, Rost, Sylens, Nil, Teersa, Gildun, ZO, Kotallo and Beta. I would definitely buy a Thunderjaw and I would also rebuy a tallneck if they do a bigger one. In fact, I would most likely buy anything that has to do what that IP.
Now that Lego has done most of the movies that they could do (Lego won't do a lot of things by choice - unfortunately) It would be great if they branch into doing the popular videogames - and it seems like they are trying - of course it is more difficult as it is quite a bit more niche. I would like to see Rachet and Clank in minifig form for sure - I'd also like to see a fairly big size Clank (R2-D2 size) which should be easy to do for Lego. There are plenty of choices in that segment but probably very few that are universally known.
Okay, who's going to reverse engineer those robot dinosaur builds?

In Zero Dawn I have kinda the same in Steam. Only one achi is missing, the „kill 6 fireclaws“, but that one is bugged. I have already killed much more.
Personally I don’t mind if a game is very hard, but in FW the combat system makes it basically unenjoyable. And just scaling up every enemy’s hp and attack also doesn’t help.
