"There is no danger greater than the evil dragons"
So who's that on the table?
Is this guy about to magically kill this baby dragon?
That's messed up.

Pieced this one together from a junk Lego drawer recently after spending an eternity trying to figure out where the printed tile and potion table came from. I was sure that it was a Harry Potter set, but none of the sets I backed them up against matched, and the transparent potion parts were impossible for me to determine what colors they were counted as on this site's database. Eventually found it by figuring out what sets the printed tile came in.

EDIT: Wait, what? The tile in this image is different from the set that I have! The one I have says: "You are far stronger than you could possibly imagine..." No wonder why I had such a hard time matching it, it's not the same tile in every version of the set!

By in New Zealand,

We need more sets like this. Basically just a CMF, but with extra cool accessories.

By in United States,

Isn't that what Anakin's childhood friend always says?

I always took it that this guy was the evil wizard, with this Majisto-clone being billed as the good wizard:

And I just now realized the irony involved.

Interestingly that tile doesn’t exist outside of the product image. The actual tile included says ‘You are far more powerfull than you would ever imagine...’ The wizard also has printed legs and a printed hat which isn’t shown in the product image. I wonder if they changed it late in development or someone screwed up and used old pieces for the picture.

It’s like magisto from the mirror dimension.

I always loved little sets like these. They made a handful of wizard ones but I never got my hands on 'em.

One of the non-evil dragons, presumably.

By in Turkey,

This guy strikes me as evil, too. And the dragon on the table, he is trainning it to be evil, for sure.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

It's a wizard! And his entry as today's random set of the day was precisely when he intended it to be.

The main image is just wrong; it's also missing the wizard's leg and hat printing. I have the set and the tile matches yours.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Curiously, the linked minifig is not the same exact wizard—they have different hats and legs.

This is why we must all work to exorcise the foul Mary–marry–merry merger from the speech of our fair land.

Lab sets always have a great potential, and the wizard labs have even more. Bonus points for the dragon. I guess, he's gonna test it for evil.

You can tell this guy is the evil one because he’s in green, which both Disney’s animated canon and the Harry Potter series have taught me is the universally recognised colour of evil magic

AH I remember when People were mad that we got WRONG tile, and the new one we got was written wrong - Powerful has two l's :D

The picture was CLREALY preeliminary - It also have no printed legs and hat, while retail set has them.

By in Netherlands,

I love ths little set, but it did feel a bit anemic for the price at the time of 3 euro (2010 money). What you get is great though, and the wizard is very useful as an addition to Kingdoms sets. In fact, it's one of the only few fantasy elements to the whole theme beside the blue wizard in the advent calender!

Because he stands out I always figured that this guy is the leader of the dragon knights from Kingdoms, possibly as a predecessor to the Dragon Masters faction. It might be why his beard isn't white yet, although the blue Kingdoms wizard is a lot more Majisto-like...

Because I had the two impulse sets and the two smallest sets I already had 7 minifigs from the theme because all had very small builds but with lots of minifigs (the prison cart has three!). That sure was a different time for castle fans...

Gravatar
By in Australia,

These were pretty cool impulse-buy sets back in the day. I only ever got one of the City ones though.

Woah, even the set images show the tile on its stand on its own, and says that instead of the dragon thing. That's wild.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Maybe the wizard changed the tile and their attire to confuse everyone. At first I thought the dragon was a potion bottle, goes to show how sneaky they can be.

Yep, some errors were made for sure. The 'powerfull' typo has always bothered me, but other than that it's a great little set.

My first thought was to post "That's so wizard Anney"

My second was that those bottles contain the hair dye he uses on his beard.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

I like the little green dragon. I added one to Dark Dragon's Den as a baby, makes sense to me. Maybe the Majisto in that set is breeding dragons, seeing as they ride them in that theme.

Gravatar
By in United States,

LORE!
This is Greeny boi wizard. He do be an op of Majisto (CAS473) and his master (CAS396/363) during da Kingdoms Era. Since he owns a Green Dragon, and is bad, we can assume he works for da Green Dragons.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

After having just seen Wicked part 1 yesterday, the first thing that went through my head on seeing this RSotD was several of the lyrics from 'The Wizard and I'...

"When I meet the Wizard,
Once I prove my worth,
And I meet the Wizard,
What I've waited for since... well, since birth!
And with all his wizard wisdom
By my looks, he won't be blinded
Do you think the wizard is... dumb?
Or like munchkins, so small-minded?
No,
He'll say to me, 'I see who you really are
A girl on whom I can rely,'
And that's how we'll begin,
The Wizard and I..."

I mean, this Wizard's signature colour is even green, just like the one from the movie! Although I must admit, Oz doesn't have such thick facial hair by any means...!

EDIT: oh whoops, I see someone already beat me to the reference xDDD

By in United States,

I actually got this set sealed for free in 2019; I bought some things from a bricklink store and the seller said that my order was his last order and so he packed a bunch of extras for free, this set being one of them. I loved these little sets, wish the still had them in the tiny boxes.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't blame this wizard for going bad, as it ain't easy being green!

Also, you wouldn't believe how hard to find both the blue and dark green printed Wizard legs are! I needed five blue ones, and I picked up the last five for sale in quantity in my country that that time!

I have this set and my tile does *not* match yours or @Robot99 's. Mine says 'more powerfull [sic]', not 'stronger'. @Alatriel has the same one as me. I wonder if there's a regional difference with 'stronger' in North America but 'more powerfull' in Europe, or whether it's a temporal difference with the older but incorrectly spelt 'more powerfull' replaced by 'stronger', or a combination of the two, i.e. Europe possibly getting the set first.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Thanks for the explanation guys!

@Zander no, mine does say "more powerfull" indeed, I was just typing quickly based off of what I had remembered. My point was that the set image is completely different from the actual release that I have.

See, @Binnekamp gets it. Otsigam, here, is green, so he matches the dragon faction. The tile in the image says that dragons are evil, and everything about this theme links dragons/green/evil. And then there’s the Magisto-clone, who one would assume is aligned with the crown knights, who one would also assume are the good guys. Except Majisto worked for the Dragon Knights, and dragons are supposed to be evil.

By in United Kingdom,

There is no greater danger than misspelling on a printed tile.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Yup, that was totally me back in 2010....

Gravatar
By in United States,

For what it's worth, Bricklink's inventory only lists the "powerfull" tile, and doesn't have an "Alternates" section.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

Charming...

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I like how they made him resemble Majisto but also changed almost all colors (normal green would have been preffered though, but at least dark green was new). Also you got a recolor of Norbert and a funny printed tile.

Strange though that it didn't real fit Kingdom's more realistic approach...

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I prefer to call this a druid. Even with this being a wizard mixing potions and owning a baby dragon, the most unrealistic thing about this is the modern English on that printed tile. But a print's a print, and I respect that.

Wouldn't it be great to get something like this in a polybag nowadays?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Picked up two of these back in the day: one to leave "normal" (though with a cape), and the other for the beard, though it ended up being the dark green torso that was more exotically useful at the time than the black beard.
