The ghost bike returns with its eternal wheelie of doom!

That barely looks like a bike, and it definitely does NOT look like a blaster

Is this one of those games where, each time you blast it, it becomes a tinier version of itself as it sheds the parts you shot off of it? Looks like someone came really close to winning the game.

I could swear that versions of this set had been RSotD more than once before, but the set's database page says "Same as 1259-1 3003-1," and of those two, only 3003 has been here before, so I don't know what I'm remembering, and don't feel like trawling through the RSotD archives.

@TheOtherMike:
If there was a “Crappy TECHNIC Motorcycle” tag, I suspect you’d see at least half a dozen similar models by now.

Talk about a gap between expectations and reality.

There's been a number of small ghost bikes in different colors.

Pairs nice with 2544-1

By in Brazil,

Oooh I used to own that one. I mean, I still have some parts of it and wouldn't be hard to complete it again, it is just that I'm not interested.

I remember I found it in the back of the shelves of a toy store near my home. Still with the price tag from when it was new, R$5.00 (I got the set in 2007, that was around U$2 back then. In 1999 it would be US$5 I think)

2544 has been RSotD; that may be why I was thinking I'd seen this set here more times than I actually had, as yes, the two are quite similar.

I’m unable to comprehend what the set name is supposed to mean. Is Blaster the name of the individual bike?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Definitely have this (or some iteration thereof) but no idea how or where I got it from which makes
Me suspect it was a free giveaway with something I happened to get

I want to talk to the people who made the backgrounds for sets of this era. Where even is this thing?

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

i just see now that the front wheel is spoked and the back wheel is a 'normal' technic rim of that time.

It's in the 90s, baby! when everything had some sweet teal.

Weird name, but as simple as this is, I do kinda like it for something made of so few pieces. Though going in a straight line could be a blast, the first corner you enter will be your last.....

Ah, the Bike Blaster. So tiny, yet there's still working suspension. For how little they had to work with this is quite a successful little model!

It looks to be an arena of some sort. That texture in the back is probably meant to be stands with people.

Not much to say, apart from unusual to find part 30155: Wheel Spoked 2 x 2 with Pin Hole in a Technic set, usually City Adventurers or similar.

By in Norway,

I think this is a quite good design, considering the number of parts. The parts were also pretty rare at the time of launch, so this was a very novel model for this period. It demonstrates the usefulness of the "new technic" style that we are now more familiar with.

I'd give this a high rating.

I think it is driving by an alfalfa farm.

There was a canceled Soundwave toy where he would have transformed into a bike (https://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:LaserCycleSoundwave.jpg) so why not let his nemesis become a sweet ride, too?

Which has most likely turned become brittle by now... if i remember correctly, rubber from this era was bad. Tires turn to goo, rubber bands become brittle, and so on.

$2 for a LEGO set!!
Amazing!

Also - smallest and worst Technic set ever!!
And I don’t think it’s close!
Who approved this abomination?!?!…..
