By in New Zealand,

I quite like this.

A bit different to the boring cars we always see in Technic.

By in United States,

It's gone so far off the road, it's now exploring the great void, so vast, white, and empty...

Oh hey I think I saw that on Top Gear! Granted they were driving a Hilux rather than a Jeep, but it still counts as white abyss offroading!

By in United States,

If I'm not mistaken, this was the first LEGO set I owned with suspension.

I know where it's not, and that's the universe.

Roads? Where it’s gone it doesn’t need roads

By in Germany,

Looks really small for 20$

By in Netherlands,

In itself looks like a nice little car. But even right now I wouldn't see this sell for €20. I mean, just this year we got 42164, which apart from a B-model seems to trump this set in every way, yet only costs €16. Technic used to be good value.....but clearly not always.

By in Jersey,

Nice update to 8820, which itself was a smaller reinterpretation of 8845.

By in Netherlands,

It's nice enough. I wonder if the headlights are attached with half an L of an axle.
The price seems fine next to my 8046 Helicopter from the year prior. The helicopter was 16 euro, this was 15 euro. Bear in mind that the heli wasvery hollow and spread out.

Designers would not get away with that now, or the half a connector at the side of the seat that makes it look unfinished.

Anyone want to play Dungeons and Dragons for the next ten quadrillion years? (RIP Gary Gygax.)

By in Norway,

This set has a very compact and effective design. Incorporating steering and suspension with so few parts is a work of art. It is a bit flimsy, though.

It was my first set with the 3L cardan joint. Until this year, I believe, 4L joints were still being used, and they were very ineffective in this new technic style by then. (But someone can correct me if I am wrong.)
