Random set of the day: Bonnie Bunny's New House
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random set is 3674 Bonnie Bunny's New House, released during 1987. It's one of 10 Fabuland sets produced that year. It contains 44 pieces and 2 minifigs, and its retail price was US$14.75.
It's owned by 335 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $518.60, or eBay.

It's back! The Fabuland takeover resumes!
Triple-Fabuland side bar. I never thought I’d see the day. In the same week as a Fabuland tribute set, too!
the real question is, what happened to Bonnie's last house...
also, Fabuland strikes back!
I'm a bit surprised that stairs in a house built for a rabbit can take the weight of a (possibly drunken) elephant. Or maybe Bonny had her house deliberately over-engineered for just such a situation.
FNAF reference before FNAF?!?!?!?

She sold it to a family of Heelers.
Move over Clikits!
Fabuland is Huwbot's new favourite theme!
This makes my day, I'm feeling good...
Where did huwbot get $518.60 from? No New sales on bricklink to speak of, and used copies are going for 50 bucks.
That staircase, in its natural habitat. I recently rebuilt my 6416 Poolside Paradise. It, and 6076 Dark Dragon's Den have this piece and the part always reminds me of it. It's huge, but kind of satisfying to build with because of the bend and because it overlaps with 4 studs and thus requires to fit snugly over the gap it spans.
It's cool to see a lego house that actually provides a way for the figures to get to the 1st floor.
Fabuland was before my time, so it always amazes me to see just how much influence it had on regular sets without me knowing about it at the time. 6270 Forbidden Island is a good example: both its staircase (the straight kind) and jail cell are actually Fabuland parts, hence the slightly oversized nature of those parts. I have long since learned about this stuff but it's always interesting to me.
Here the flowers, lampposts, jug and phone are also examples of parts that made their way into other sets far past Fabuland's existence.
So new they haven't built the other three walls yet
Wow...ya' never think how tough the housing market in Fubuland is/was...a two-story half-house, w/out-side stairwell to access the two floors...and not enough space for: the table, chair, nor phone inside...and how much would this set Bonny back? I suspect T. Nook's ancestor's involvement here..:D
I actually really like this one. It just looks so sweet, plus, I love how the second storey overhangs the bottom floor. It gives the house personality, a real presence.
Oh, I wish I'd bought more Fabuland as a kid.

Only if that’s a sticker. Plain and printed tiles are fine to be wedged between studs. Plates are where the stress kicks in.
Bonnie Bunny's Slaughter House - run kids, run! (Or escape out the back where the wall's missing, either works)
I have this set.... sort of.
I got the rotary phone base, the red motorcycle, the red staircase, the table and chair and the big roof piece.
I used the staircase for a vintage open roof omnibus.
I was disappointed the rotary telephone base isnt compatible with the minifig telephone but I used it in a phone booth instead with the handset mounted on the wall.
Ooh, Animal Crossing!
...oh, right.
Given that these are photos rather than renders they must have glued Edward Elephants foot to the stairs as it would be impossible for a child to balance him on the edge while he is swigging away.

Or else Bonnie is waiting for him to trip and fall to his death so she can claim his life insurance.

I think it averages last 6 months of sales,
That is also its "new" value, not "used"
It might just be the case only 1 "new" copy of this set was sold, and somebody paid $500 for it.
It's used value is much lower.

Since you mentioned a Pirates set, the ship's wheel also dates back to Fabuland, although the mold has undergone at least two modifications since the line ended:

Literally what I was saying. Click on BrickLink up in the article above, No sales of New copies in the last 6 months, so where did it get its number from?

Nope. It's just dark enough for Fabuland.
I see a red scooter. Is Deadpool in this set?
Huwbot puts a lot of Fabuland sets up, and we get an official new Fabuland set? Huwbot, more PIRATE set of the day please!!!!

Maybe it actually burnt down in the fire described in "Edward's Skyscraper", and the book told us a lie? https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?B=fablb03T=S&O={%22iconly%22:0}

By my count, out of 65 eligible (more than 10 pieces) sets, we've had 42 RSotDs, for 64.6%. Clikits has 45/74, for only 60.8%. A new favorite theme (by percentage) indeed! Clikits still has the numerical lead, but not by much!
PS: Thank you, Huwbot, for sharing your selection algorithm so I can double-check these numbers with queries.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!
Is it me, or does everyone seem precariously about to plunge to their demise in that photo?
Bonny Bunny is already feeling besotted, and leaning dangerously far out the window, after Edward plied her with too many drinks from his suspiciously gigantic flask. Meanwhile Edward—whose urbane looks belie his true identity as a member of the violent Chima mammoth clan—has carefully moved her phone outdoors just before the gentle rain showers on the horizon fry all its circuitry. Unseen predators lurk in the bushes, ready and waiting.
NOT GOOD.
WE'RE SO BACK!
Red lamp posts, nice.
Something just occurred to me. Since the VSotW will post today (well, it's today in my time zone, anyway) instead of another RSotD, this one gets to hang around for another day. Huwbot's newfound love of Fabuland continues!
