Random set of the day: Scuderia Ferrari Truck
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random set is 30191 Scuderia Ferrari Truck, released during 2012. It's one of 11 Racers sets produced that year. It contains 41 pieces.
It's owned by 4,515 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $6.50, or eBay.

That is the most goofy-ass set I have ever seen on this site
Boy, those early Speed Champions sets were rough.
My favourite F1 team!
This is the Lego equivalent of the meme where the horse gets progressively lower quality
There's just something odd about the phrase "Ferrari Truck."

Really? You haven't seen much then.
The miniature version of 75913 but just the truck. No f1 car, no scooter, no trailer, no accessories, and no Minifigures
I proudly own all of the Shell tie-ins from this series. The pullback motor is fun.
@PurpleDave : Noooo...I think that's "Rodimus", ya' know...after he got "Primed":D

This got a pull-back motor? Really?
These compact pullback motors were grea but very under-uitlized. I only got one of them from a second hand lot and used it in a City style cargo van. If I knew what I know now, I'ld have bouhgt couple of these sets for more pullback motors.
Hey, got that one! Kinda what got me out of my dark ages, got them either free or very cheap after filling up at a Shell gas station. It's nothing really special, except for the nifty pull-back base.
I own all seven (and a few duplicates) of the 2014 series 40190 - 40196 but still keep them unopened. It was more of a FOMO trend of buying promotional toys in the same decade that people ditched the Happy Meal stuff as litter just to get their hands on the Minions figures inside.
P.s. If you must know LEGO yanked all building instructions from the support webpages because of the Greenpeace campaign.
Didn’t know these had pullback motors until now.
They put a pullback motor in a polybag?! That's impressive.
8654 was so cool. This polybag is something like even downsized truck from 8153

Studios, Sports, and Bionicle sets with less than 20 parts would like a word. 4074, 4071, 4467, and 7217, just to get you started. Sets named "Tree" or "Bad Guy" are good choices.
A polybag with a pullback motor? That alone is kind of impressive.

That was nothing compared to the miniature Beanie Babies in Happy Meals in the late Nineties. People were getting into fights over those. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teenie_Beanies

Even more impressive is that it's only 2 plates thin! Basically just a 2x8 plate with a 2x4 plate perpendicular underneath just in front of the rear axle.
Obviously that won't do wonders, but considering the size it works surprisingly well.

Don’t forget all-time classics 4466 and 4040.

Galidor, Scala, and Belville are creatures from another dimension. Beyond goofy to odd and bizarre.
Strange looking F1 car :P

Still looks more slick than the actual Ferrari F1 car of 2012 ;-)
Did anyone own this?

"It's owned by 4,515 Brickset members," so yes.
It's from that one Shell promotion!

No. Do forget 4040. In fact, strike it from the historical record, and all living memory.

I unfortunately happen to own 4040

Oh, dude. Well, there’s always fire and/or recreational explosives. Nice little group hug with some M-80’s should do the trick.
