Random set of the day: Promotional Set
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random set is 7266 Promotional Set, released during 2005. It's one of 46 City sets produced that year. It contains 19 pieces and 1 minifig.
It's owned by 279 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $13.00, or eBay.

And yet some people complain about the promotional sets of today...
Promoting what, safety? That axe is just lying on the ground instead of being properly stored, someone could hurt themselves.
Promotional set? Must be a fire sale.
That's the worst hook-and-ladder I've ever seen.
Never seen a ladder deployed for a handheld extinguisher.
Is this parkour firefighting?
When you desperately in need of a fireman minifigure I guess...
Pretty darn sure that ladder isn't OSHA approved.
Man, I miss the times when the tap piece still had the hole in it...
I've heard of a "Stairway to Heaven"...but clearly he's on a LAAAAADDER TO HELL!!! LAAAADDER TO HELL!!!...oh, no siderails, or safety spotter,...Oh sorry, had a little AC/DC in my head...:D
And the award for most unnecessary deployment of a ladder goes to…!
The bricks, the bricks, the bricks are on fire
The bricks, the bricks, the bricks are on fire
The bricks, the bricks, the bricks are on fire
We don't need no water, let the Master B*lder burn
Burn Master B*lder, burn
I am the God of Hellfire and I bring you
Fire, I'll take you to burn
Fire, I'll take you to learn
I'll see you burn
It's not a ladder, its a catapult.
See https://brickset.com/sets/1356-1/Stuntman-Catapult amongst oither examples, that I feel wouldn't pass stress tests today.
That some balancing act never to be repeated by anyone buying this set.
"Oh drat, the cakes are burning!"
Vaguely remember getting this one while on a trip to Legoland Windsor (which evidently must've been in May 2005!)

No, they use it to rescue cats, by knocking them out of trees with airborne firefighters (little does this guy know…).
Promotional?
Got to climb the ladder then.
Ah yes, this is my favorite part of that one American Fireman Warrior episode, especially when this firefighter is going to jump through those fire decoys!

Never thought I'd see a 'Crazy World of Arthur Brown' lyric on Brickset. The front man of that band used to light a loop filled with lighter fluid attached to an un-insulated leather skullcap on fire, then put it on... sometimes his clothes caught on fire too while he was singing. Don't believe me? See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_(Arthur_Brown_song)
That's an amazing balancing act. It could use a plate to actually make the ladder not fall over.
Wel, you did get a fully decked out firefighter, so that's nice!
