Ninja..GO!
Tournament of Elements was one of my Favourite Ninjago seasons, and I can believe it's now ten years old.
If that's the Destiny's Bounty, that might be the biggest departure aside from the one from Seabound.
DB X? Is that the prequel to DBZ?
The robot is an Airplane reference.
Gotta be honest, I don't even remember this being a set. Not that I remember every set, but this one is distinct enough that I feel like I should. It's like the A-Team minivan of the Ninjacolypse.

And the Snakes are a Plane reference.

Surely you can't be serious.

I thought it was the sequel to DB IX?
One of the best mobile bases in Lego ever... almost xD
The price felt ridiculous even if the set itself is big. Wish it had some better stuff inside than just a bike.

It's not the Bounty, it's a different vehicle, some kind of jungle tank Nya cooked up to rescue the Ninja from Chen's Island. Although I think you're right in thinking that "DB" stands for "Destiny's Bounty."

Wasn't the autopilot an inflatable Dareth in the show, not a robot? Still, it was a good reference.
2015 was arguably Ninjago's best year, between Possession and ToE. So many cool sets. This was one that I never got, sadly, although I really wanted a jungle Kai and Sensei Garmadon (who only ever appeared in 1 other set, the MechDragon 70725). White Pythor was also exclusive to this set at the time, I think. Still, $80 for essentially a box on wheels was too much for my limited budget back then. I got 70736 instead....

"I'm used to these sets having sleek, stealthy vehicles for the ninjas. I'm disappointed that this set doesn't feature any vehicles at ALL. Just a little shrine-build and some characters, how boring."
And what's with those missiles sitting off to the side? I don't think the shrine can fire them...
It's been a while since I really paid attention to this one. And it's strange, as I'm usually a sucker for big vehicles with actual walkable interiors. I personally would rather large sets have something going on inside them, rather than just having a cockpit!
So I just looked up a review again, and man is this a bit disappointing. The back half is meant to detach and awkwardly folds out for an open air base. This leaves the entire back half of the truck as a literal technic frame with wheels. The base has a few stickered panels and weapon clips... and that's it.
Although I like that there's open space, it just looks like there's nothing in there. It doesn't even have a roof, as only the folding pillar will actually cover anything back there. There's not even a designated space for the bike.
Overall a disappointing outing. The later 70677 Land Bounty is a lot more fleshed out and actually has walkways, an interior and even a second bridge that can become a fully realized flyer. Sure, it was more expensive, but even if the flyer was lost it would have a better layout.

The entire back section can be removed, which allows a small turret to pop out from behind the cockpit. This uses the missles.

I am serious, and don't call me Shirley

I’ve seen that a few times in real life. I’m not talking about a pickup that has been converted to a flatbed in back, but one that looks like it’s midway through that conversion, with a cab up front and just open frame to attach the rear wheels to in back. It looks so weird.

What about DBS? Oh, Bond rolled it over.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue
