Rescue chopper? I wouldn't have to rescue chopper if it stayed in the air instead of skimming the surface of the water. They know that thing flies, right?

It's flying in the chop, and chop is in the water.

Given how many war crimes Chopper usually commits, I don't think we need to rescue him

Another set with a complete sentence for a name.

This is the dreary WORLD CITY. Said man is probably sleeping with the fishes in a body bag.

No, the cockpit is 6 studs wide and the pilots sit offset from it, one stud apart,

This is one of the first sets I remember using this technique, I'm surprised it wasn't more widespread after the introduction of 6-wide vehicle parts

Missed this one. Still want it. Love the side by side seating and the orange flight suits.

Mob boss: “The last guy who let me down is sleepin’ with the fishes.”
“WHAT?!”
“Yeah, he’s a night watchman at the aquarium now. After he let me down, I couldn’t justify employing’ him anymore, so I had to let him go and he got a new job.”

^ just wanted to take this opportunity to say that LEGO City Undercover is an all-time great videogame and the dialogue/writing is top notch. Instead of having IP like the Star Wars games, etc., it just makes SO many references and homages. It’s great, and I recommend it to everyone!

Also, I loved these sets! World City may call it Coast Watch, but it will always be Coast Guard in my heart

By in Australia,

This is one of my favourite helicopters that Lego has ever done. It's a beautiful build, and the photo doesn't do it justice because it's a substantial structure. Plus, this was back when larger-sized helicopters weren't a regular feature in Lego City line-ups, and I remember that the two-person cockpit was quite revolutionary at the time, in terms of Lego choppers.

It was just a really cool set to have. It's up there with the big Res-Q chopper as awesome Lego helicopters.

By in Poland,

I remember seeing this set in the 2004 catalog. I really liked the aesthetics of World City and for Coast Watch the yellow-black combination works well. It draws from the good old Res-Q sets, though the color balance is shifted more towards yellow.

By in Netherlands,

This set is super functional. As stated above two pilots can sit next to each other in the cocckpit, it has a working winch and moving crane arm to lower a stretcher, moving cross rotors. But also a buoy deploying mechanism in the back! Yes, that buoy in the distance was probably left there by the helicopter. And having pontoons it's a good one for water rescues. It's a great set and at a perfect point where it's modern enough to have the sleek cockpit and click hinges, but classic enough to not waste parts or space and actual good parts usage, like the lb grey fabuland phones for the pontoon struts..

one of the few older City sets I haven't taken apart. iconic.

This is a great set! I got it because it reminded me of that giant yellow rescue helicopter I had in the 80s. It’s a little cramped, but a fun toy to swoosh around and use the winch.

Officer: Harry, how much coffee have you had?
Totally-not-Dirty Harry: I can't remember if i had six shots, or only five.
Officer: ...Harry, you've gotta cut back on your expresso!

(Something like that, at least, was in the trailers. I almost bought it for that line alone, but I didn't have a Wii U to play it on.)

I have it and don't think I ever built it. Straight into the parts bins! It must have been on clearance lol
