By in United States,

I think the Polar Bears win out on this one. I don't remember what Chi really does to the Bears, but I know they just nap most of the time, and then the Raven, he can't bargain with them.
Then again, Chima is super silly and the badguys always find a way to screw up, so the mech will likely trip over the sleepy Bear, the Raven with steal their stuff and sell it for profits, and the Polar Bears will be like, "whu happ'n?"
Oh wait, I'm forgetting that the Polar Bears were the final ice tribe to show up in literally the last two episodes and they're like the only competent ones. Never mind, they body the goodguys.

I friggin hate the Ice Bears. They didn't even appear until the very last episode and yet LEGO decided they had to be in EVERY set that year

I friggin love the Ice Bears. They didnt get anywhere near enough screentime, and lego didnt give them enough sets that year

By in New Zealand,

This reminds me of the bears from the Golden Compass.

By in United States,

I don’t get why these guys are called “ice bears” when they’re clearly polar bears.

Paired with the vultures, they kinda don’t make much sense when the other two ice tribes are both extinct animals IRL

They're Ice Bears because the land of Chima is a flat discworld. No poles.

What’s the deal with the fire bear and his buggy?

By in Australia,

I liked Chima, but these final sets didn't appeal to me.

I liked the idea of polar-themed creatures like mammoths, sabre-toothed tigers and polar bears (and, I guess, vultures?), but they turned them into some kind of ice-zombies (with most of the figures having some kind of transparent limbs), and I just lost interest.

Consequently, I only picked up a few of these last Chima sets. This one looked like a great set, too, I regret missing it.

Ice bears?! Anyone else play the DLC for HORIZON ZERO DAWN?

Because I hate me some ice bears.

By in Poland,

Chima had a lot of mid sets. This is NOT one of them. This one was sturdy, powerfull, fun.

By in Netherlands,

Always loved this one, but never managed to get it. It's just such a fun concept.

Basically, the Ice Bears only appear during the final battle because even their fellow Ice Hunters were wary of them because they are only useful in a fight. Because they're crazy and aggressive.

They're a massive pun on berserkers! Some even have nordic knots tattood on them.

I also found it quite funny that the bear tribe, which have slept through the entire story only nów wake up, as apparently the two types of bear are archenemies. So all of a sudden the bears are hypercompetent.

Anyway, the set seems to just be a good mech if you excuse its tallness and lack of knees. There's a motorbike on the back and it sways back and forth from the waist with a rubber band. The drill also spins. But the animal head really works wonders on its looks! It's also the right kind of beefy. And I love how it actually has a cockpit in the torso instead of just having the minifig ride on top.

Miles ahead of the clunky torso of its goofier counterpart the 70225 Bladvic's Rumble Bear.

Not the best angle for a photo, I had a bit of trouble making out what was head and what was arm. Thought the pauldron on his non-drill arm was some sort of rad mohawk

One could say the same about me, really.

Great set, one of the few Chima sets we're not selling during the family-lego-clean-out that´s been going on since november.

The disc world lacking poles mentioned above might explain this. But also, polar bears are called "ice bears" in Danish (and Swedish, and German...)

By in Netherlands,

The brown bears brought their bear mech with 70225 Bladvic's Rumble Bear to fight this.

By in Australia,

My brother has this, and I think it was his all-time favourite for a while. It's kind of in pieces at the moment though, but I see some parts from it in my bins.

Absolutely loved this one when I got it back then, might have to piece it back together again soon!

I didn't realize it was a joke until I read the second line. I remember those ads. I didn't have to look anything up to immediately hear it in my head.
