The 'final' season had great minifig designs. The builds weren't the best though.
lol, the Subtheme is, "The Final Battle," and here we are 12 years later still watching that "Final Battle" take place.
Also that's not a bike, that's at least a trike.

I feel like the instant you include a tank tread in the mix, you’re getting into “-mobile” territory more than “-cycle”.
Looks a bit like a good concept that went through at least three cost-cutting corners too much.
Probably meant to be a Kabuto (the helmet, not the Pokemon) shaped tank or something?
Also is there any type of seat or cockpit on this thing?
I guess I got a little bit excited when I first saw the red caterpillar treads, only to realize these are not the 1997 Technic ones...

exactly. case and point.

The two red spars did remind me of a maedate crest, but the tank tread only makes me think of the Bornean proboscis monkey.

Yeah, Lego doesn’t seem to have had much to spare for the theme’s supposed final year.
Would have loved that mech Garmadon got in the show, even if Lloyd did take it out quite easily.
I really wanted to like those tank treads. I tried all kinds of ways, picking up many different sets along the way.
They’re just plain terrible. They’re too stiff to roll. They are not fun. It’s a shame, too, because if they did work the way your brain initially thinks they’re going to work, they’d be the best non-tire rubber LEGO part ever.

I was sent this 1938 image of the tractor cycle yesterday. Looks like an insanely dangerous ride.

Some designs in Ninjago are very bold, both in color and design.
Kind of looks more like a Ditch Witch/trencher than it does a vehicle.

Tbf, there’s already a kabuto-themed tank from that year’s line with 70504, so I think the flair on this one is sticking to the theme.
I had trouble spotting the cockpit too, thought maybe it was a “warrior cycle” because the cycle itself was alive and liked fighting :D But no, looking at other images of the set you can see it’s way on the back, you can just see the top of one of the levers sticking up here
the angled front tread wasn't angled in the show, and the gun is a very different shape in the show interestingly enough. probably because of show designs are based of off prototype set designs, but with s2 they seem to have used to have used much earlier prototypes than usual, given only two of the set this wave could really be considered show accurate, and even then they aren't without major caveats.
The best part is the fully decked out stone warrior. The bike is... not that great if you ask me. Unlike the serpentine vehicles the samurai helmet isn't very on point and looks very small compared to the massive wheels and thread. It didn't do it for me back then, and it doesn't do it for me now even with slight nostalgia.

Is it just me who splits Ninjago up by season in my head as pilot-1-2-3, then 4-5-6-7, then the 8-9 arc, then 10 kinda by itself, then 11-12-13, followed by 14-15, and 16 alone at the end?

no, alot of us do that.

Far from the only bike: Lego has mad with more than two wheels:https://brickset.com/sets?query=quad+bike They've also made sets whose bikes had no wheels: https://brickset.com/sets?query=speeder+bike

Doesn't look to dangerous... as long as you're fine getting off of it and muscling it over whenever you want to make a turn.
@MCLegoboy: Hmm...you raise an interesting philosophical question: At what point does a 'Battle' become a 'War'? I mean TWELVE YEARS?!?!? Wow, time flies...seem like yesterday when TLG were saying "Ok, were finished with this...", and the fans said, "No, you're not..."...and here we are...and sometimes I wonder if it's a 'better/worse' situation that that happened...
Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that Lego has an IP that is (pun ironic) 'Evergreen', but now every IP TLG creates is competing with themselves...:)
I like how the two enemy vehicles of this wave were supposed to look vaguely like a samurai helmet / face, although the Garmatron did it better. It wasn't the best, but it continued the trend of an enemy themed bike in the early Ninjago years.
Warrior Bike? That has to be a mistake. The guy could be named Warrior Mike or Warrior Ike, but Bike isn't a name.
It‘s wild to see how far things have come!
Ninjago seems to me like one of the newer brands. Yet this feels and looks retro. … or I am just getting old xD
I think it comes from the big rubber band and technic parts. Some how makes it feel older.

It only appeared in ten sets between 2009-2017, including the NXT base set, a Mindstorms Educational set, and a Chima 2-in-1 pack that includes one of the two other Chima sets it comes in. The remaining five sets are all Ninjago. However, there are a few other treads of this style, and my experience with them began in 2001. 8549 and 8539 both came with the 71372 tread, which, as @peterlmorris suggests...sucked. They worked fine on the Manas, but on the Tarakava you really had to press down on the model's base to get the tread to engage with the terrain rather than slide over it. Basically, it depends on whether the motive force comes through the wheel, or from HOG-power. If the former, the wheels really do an excellent job of engaging the tread interior if you get the tension right (and it's painfully obvious if you haven't). The treads would probably roll fine if they were perfectly circular when you pull them out of the box, but they're always flattened, and frequently bowed, so they tend to lock up when they hit certain points in their cycle.
Now, 8538 comes with the 71965 tread, which is much smaller in both diameter and width, and far less resistant to movement when it reaches a point where it tends to lock up. These ones were considerably more kid-friendly than the large ones, but I'm of the opinion that these wider treads were simply a bad idea all around.

I wonder how hogpower compares to horsepower?

Horse doesn't hold a candle to Hand-Of-God.
