I can normally find something good from a Lego theme even if they are bad, but the construction figures from Knights' Kingdom II are just terrible!

While I wouldn't say it's unrealistic for a king to head into battle, I doubt he's manning the catapult.

I can think of one! The ratchet-joint system introduced through these figures allowed people to combine the pose-ability of a BIONICLE model with the customize-ability and intricacies of System sets, paving the way for better LEGO action figures going forward. While themes like Exo-Force or early Ninjago Dragons certainly used the system to greater effect, it had to start somewhere!

Ah yes, the year they went from five good guys and one bad guy to an even division.

At least the shields were better. The first batch were just cardboard.

Didn't the Dinosaurs theme introduce the first such system? I mean, it was straight garbage, but it had to start somewhere. I know the Galidor system is still in use today, and I know there was at least one other system that was similar but had kind of an inverted ratchet system compared to Galidor. I honestly can't remember where these guys fit into that lineup.

By in Canada,

Actually a sick mini-fig fantasy siege weapon.

Jayko aged like milk. Is there any indication of how exactly long the timeskip is? Based on the comics, all other Gen 1 knights, including Danju, are still alive and appear wearing their armor.

You never know; James II of Scotland was killed by one of his own cannons because he was too close to it and the thing exploded, so it’s not like the royals don’t get their hands dirty with the artillery

Weren't the ratchet joints originally from Galidor?

I loved these large figures, they were great for waging war on the various Bionicle figures :)

This set shines the most paired with its archnemesis 8702, highlighting the various design differences between light and darkness. I still think the evil counterpart is the superior set but those who own both could have tremendous fun in a constraction kind of way.
As mentioned above, 2006 saw a more even division of good guys vs bad guys, redesigned shields, and more unified looks (that matched the knights the year before, no less). No wonder the last year is probably my favorite of KK2 in terms of constraction.

I don’t recall it ever being mentioned. I assume it wasn’t that long since Vladek is apparently still fighting fit. Then again, with all the dark magic he’s dabbled in there’s really no telling.

Could just be that Jayko went gray/white early, kind of like how some men can lose their hair early in life.

Are we going to have to put together an entire Morcian timeline/family tree, GRR Martin style? And how many of the other Castle themes do we rope into it? XD

CAPE! CAPE!

Those armor pieces are also super useful if used right! The sword here is also one of the most realistic of the theme. And idk, it's cool that this gets a full system sidebuild with it in the same way that Bionicle sometimes got technic sidebuilds. Good stuff in that sense.

Given that the function in the first three year's worth of Toa was (not counting Vakama's Kanoka launcher) waving their arms up and down, now I'm picturing the Toa of Mata Nui and the Knights of Morcia in a slap-fight.

Rascus was obviously descended from one or more Forestmen.

I was always more interested in the minifigure scale Knight's Kingdom sets, but the large figures did have some interesting pieces. In particular, I like how the shoulder armor from the villain knights like set 8702 was reused in Exo-Force for the Sentry II in 7705

Could've been the end of 2007, 1 Pound briefly was over 2 US Dollars, which later reflected in prices of some 2008 sets : 7048 Troll Warship $80 and under £50

By in Germany,

Cool build cool parts.
Just like the last random drop it reminds me there are way less technic parts crossing over in modern builds.
And somehow unique artstyle. Like Robot Arena Battles meets Knights.
Didn’t even know bout this one.
