By in New Zealand,

Is flour the only thing they are milling?

Knowing Fabuland, I doubt so.

The flour is ground up bones. You are what you eat quite literally in Fabuland.

By in United Kingdom,

fabulous!

I love Fabuland so gosh darn much, really wish Lego will do something with it, other than that one Lego house set

Also, lowkey love that long slide element

By in United States,

I love Fabuland, but this one is dark as usual. But before we get into that, there are definitely some neat parts in here such as the Grey lamppost!

By in United States,

Two thoughts. One: That kind of shovel does not seem like it'd make for a very good dustpan. Two: I love those windmill and bay window elements.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I kind of love it how the bags of flour get to use the slippery slide to get from the mill down to the waiting customers.

Gravatar
By in United States,

We are all just grist for the mill.

Speak for yourself; I'm just another brick in the wall.

What is dark about milling and selling flour?

You see any wheat in those fields behind them? What are they grinding in there exactly?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I've learned from the comments section over the years that basically Fabuland is Lego Fargo...

"I heard he has an ex-wife
In some place called Mayor's Income, Tennessee
And he used to have a consulting business in Indonesia
But what's he grinding in there?
He has no friends, but he gets a lot of mail
I'll bet he spent a little time in jail
I heard he was up on the roof last night, signaling with a flashlight
And what's that tune he's always whistling?
What's he grinding in there?
What's he grinding in there?
We have a right to know"

By in United Kingdom,

I do love fabuland. I am often tempted to buy animal crossing sets to add to the collection, but I'm sure the art styles are too different.

By in New Zealand,

Cool lab. The rat is in on it.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Imagine having to cut out all of those bushes out of card stock to use as a background.

Something along the line of "Five Nights at Fabuland" perhaps?

Throw some Chima in there, too.

The sooner everyone accepts that Fabuland is truly a Lovecraftian world, the better we all will be.

Winnie the Pooh came out in 1926, and was followed by Blood and Honey in 2023, with a sequel in 2024. Steamboat Willie released in 1928, and the first two horror films landed on 2024 and 2025. Bambi (the book) was 1923, and it must have gone unnoticed because the first horror film I’ve heard of is out this month. So Fabuland started in 1979, which means it would be at least 2074 before it hits the public domain under US law. I don’t know when exactly this happens in Denmark, but that may shorten the term in the US.

Maybe not quite horrot, but there already was a Bambi vs. Godzilla movie back in 1969: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5R-rbzcEM8A

You ask what’s happening here? We have a mysterious horse shoveling air, and an odd mouse. The mouse is presumably a customer, but why is me peering at the cash register? The shop is empty, save for old flowers. Strange stuff is afoot for sure. Having said all this, I love Fabuland, and it’s peaceful. But, it can also be dark if you imagine it the right way. ;)
