The first Friends set to have a five-digit set number; cool.

Who the heck is Kate? She's not one of the main friends, and yet she got her own polybag?

EDIT: Okay, I just did some digging, and Kate mostly just shows up on her own, but when she's in a set with a main friend, it's only Stephanie, so she's clearly not friends with the other friends. She's a pariah.

Quite a boring set. Nice for parts though.

First Scala, then Friends, @Huwbot is finding life after Clikits. Things could be worse…

It's just weird seeing Friends sets with that many exposed studs.

This looks like an early 90s design with poppier colours. Friends has come a long way!

Other than the minidoll? And the "we made minidolls incompatible with stuff" handlebars?

I feel like putting your flippers that close to the scooter’s output is a good way to shred them

Not even a polybag but a boxed set!

Once upon a time, there were sets of 5,- euro that were boxed. They were widely available and you did not have to scour multiple stores to find any.

This was one of them. It's not the most exciting set, but it was nice that it was there if you needed it.

Friends sets have always had minidolls, so why mention it (never mind that those handlebars are compatible with minifigures though). I thought you were going to pick holes in the inclusion of a side build, so I’m almost disappointed!

She may or may not be Kate Bishop, the new Hawkeye, meaning she's at least friends with Clint Barton, the old Hawkeye.

I admit that that might still make her a pariah though. Clint is a bad friend and a worse role-model.

But Friends didn’t start until 2012, so in the 90’s, minidolls were over a decade away.

Lots of pieces were, which is why I’m talking aesthetics. This set has a very studded, basic utilitarian design, albeit with a Friends colour palette (and a minidoll). These days I expect there would be a lot more tiles giving it a finish, along with an animal or more foliage.
