It’s got a mobile, like the kind you hang over a crib. The bar’s pretty low on this. You know, so the baby can reach it.

Huwbot has blessed us with the holy clikits!

CLIKITS! @Huwbot has used one of his forty-somethun aces!

All hail Clikits, All hail Clikits, ALL HAIL CLIKITS!!!

Seriously though, we think prices with Star Wars were bad, but adjusted for inflation, this things over $50! Kinda crazy, but still better PPP (even adjusted for inflation) than the naut-a-juggernaut/tiny tank. Still, @Huwbot has chosen the Ultimate Design Studio, today is a good day, a quite good one!

...Of ultimate Destiny? (Yes, this is the third time I've made that joke on an RSotD article, but it's not my fault Lego keeps using that word!)

Huwbot's casting his own vote for what the best set *really* is.

I see these old, kinda scary, definitely-not-looking-like-Lego sets and breath a deep sigh of relief. "At least these are antiques, made ages ago really," I think. Then I notice that it was released after 2000...

I can't imagine this version of Clikits existing at any time other than it did, the character designs had awfully Y2K aesthetics.

So we're all in agreement, right? This set is better than BOTH the Medieval Blacksmith and the AT-AT walker.

Absolutely.
And it's a pity no Clikits set was released during the last five years, because that would have meant a landslide victory in the "best set of the last five years" competition.
For sure.

Oh man it feels like it's been a while since our last Clikits. Nice to see them back!

The character designs went through quite a substantial amount of changes, though, probably in part because no physical representations of the girls were ever produced. This set leans pretty heavily towards the Bratz aesthetic, but I’ve seen images that have much more realistic proportions.

By in Germany,

Wow, I actually own this Beast, with box tbh. I also nearly remember when my mom bought it for my sister in the local toy store. It somehow survived but I dont know if my sister put all the parts back in… I really dont know why this box survived but I had to cut my Pirates, Western and other boxes… probably we knew already back then that clickits is far superior than the other themes!

Clickets! Normality is restored.

From what I can gather from the inventory you only received printed heads to put in a frame to make a cube. The full size figures are already printed on the corner of the mat (cardboard or plastic unable to determine). That's the last time I will complain about not enough figures in an ultimate set.

No wonder Wyldstyle doesn't want us to know about her misspent youth. That is... that is rough, man.

You do realise that 2003 is 22 years ago by now, do you? Depending on your age that might not seem that long ago, but it really is... Is does look more recent, tbh.

By in Netherlands,

Clickits! Yeah!!!

I just realized the Clickits mascots don't have noses just like minifigs. At least on this image.

As for the set itself... what's there to say? I don't quite understand how it's used.

Well, it was released 22 years ago, which is already quite some time…

Given that we're over the halfway point of 2025, we're now closer to 2050 than we are to 2000.

Physical representations *were* produced, though: https://brickset.com/minifigs/category-Clikits Yet another minifig category Huwbot has yet to tap for RMotD.

OMG!!
And I thought I knew every style of minifig since the dawn of time!….

Oof. That first one looks like it escaped from The Dark Crystal, which is not a great look for someone who is supposed to be fully human. That was 2005, though, and I know I got a Clikits promo pack during one of my NYTF visits in 2002-2004, so I’m standing by my statement on the basis that the theme ran a few years with the three characters only existing as graphic designs, plus these “minifigs” you linked to are essentially just 3D representations of those same graphic designs, with zero articulation. They didn’t start out with minifigs or minidolls and base the art on those. They ran at least a few years with artwork alone, and then made dangly statues of the then-current artwork.

Cheer up, little buddy! There is very little chance that any of us will make it to 2050, given the state of the world we all live in. Build nice things, while you can!

Gravatar
By in United States,

ngl I'd love to see the three characters as minifigs, mini dolls, or heck, even on a sticker somewhere. Between modern hair pieces, skin tones, and skirts, it's totally possible. But I doubt the Clikits fandom is as... existent as Ice Planet or Rock Raiders.

They’re statues. You’d need a magic Egyptian tablet to bring them to life, and it would only work at night when the museum’s closed.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I wonder how many of these sets are left to be picked by Huwbot?

Or put them in a cupboard.

Just enough to last until the moment there are none.
