Looks like Spot's friends are imaginary

Or he thinks someone built some sort of structure out of their corpses.
-See Spot.
-Jane sees Spot.
-Jane sees Spot run.
Way to go, Jane.
I want to see some MOCer make a really detailed and greebled-out robot dog, and then use https://brickset.com/parts/82249/dogs-head-dec as the head.
So, the Friends theme started in 2001. Who knew?
Goofy ahh set.
Somehow I have the Spot's head in the parts bin. I guess I have to build it now.
I thought Spot the Dog was yellow?
HELL YEAH, this is the sort of set that gets me up in the morning.

I thought Spot was a cat.
Just a cute little creator set. A good way to start a kid's collection of bricks, as it no doubt has done for many like all sets of this kind.
Fun fact: this is the start of Creator as a theme. Before this it was Basic or Freestyle. It used to be just sets like this, some with the Jack Stone style Max and Tina figures.
I don’t understand, looks nothing like Across the Spider-Verse…

... does Lego have the rights to use Spot the dog, or is he in public domain by now?

“They’re the exact same villain of the week.”
I like the ideas book tired in with the pieces rather than disappointing kids when you don't have all the right pieces or colors in your bin. Although for this set the lack of pieces really limits what is possible compared to 4116 Animal Adventures Bucket or 4175 Max and Tina with over 83 ideas and should be in every kindergarten.

There was a Friends PC game in 1999. Actually more Scala based (at least they claimed so... Resemblance leaves a bit to be desired). Still TLG's first use of that name for anything.

Leave Spot in the sun long enough, he will become yellow!

Was thinking the same thing! Also... the dog in the picture doesn't seem to actually have any spots (black ears and tail, sure, and even freckles; but not exactly a namesake big round marking like yellow Spot does), which leaves me a bit puzzled why they named him thus. Besides it being a fairly generic dog name, I guess.
Actually had that dog head in my childhood collection, although not from this set. My more-or-less introduction to Lego was 4146 Freestyle Bucket (Brickset doesn't have a picture so it can never be RSotD, but Bricklink does), which not only had the head for the dog, but also for a horse and an elephant too... so perhaps that one more easily fit the descriptor of having friends for 'Spot' than this one does!

Who started out male, then became female. Hey, weirder things have happened on ships named Enterprise.

Hey, both Spots are white with black bits!

I'd completely forgotten about that! 5707 if anyone's interested. I actually have it, but only because I got in the multipack mentioned in its one review here.

I was thinking of a white one (2856461), but then 4620157 reminded me that the name is actually Bullseye.
Did... did Spot's friends get turned into a building?!

They're just out of frame, laughing too.

I still kick myself for not picking that up when I saw it. Between that and 40358 (another set I wish I'd picked up), Target gets some good exclusives, don't they?
See Spot
See Miles
See Miles web Spot...oh, sorry; wrong set:)

I got multiples of both Target Cubes, and four copies of the second gift card pack. It had instructions to build three models, but it also included the extra piece needed to build the lone model from the first version. I never even heard of that when it came out, but I’ve since heard that the parts in the first gift card were prone to cracking. The other ones I missed out on were the Darrh Vader mini bust and the Benny Brickheadz.

Spot the difference.
