Is that supposed to be a brake light on the tail?

Totally not a Military jet.

I'm really struggling to come up with anything to say. Like, I want to say something witty or even just a dumb joke, but nothing's coming. Poor excuse for a Creator set, it's not inspiring anything from me. Wait, does that count?

So…how did this get past the military vehicle embargo?

It is an anti-collision beacon light.

A lot of Creator jets resemble military fighters, but are not based off of any specific model (which also means the Lego doesn't have to license anything), and are not in military colors, unless you count something like the US Navy's Blue Angels or Air Force's Thunderbirds to be "military colors."

By in Canada,

When I saw the set's name, my brain read it as "Super Sour"..."So...Lemon?":)

By in United Kingdom,

I think it’s trying for a sleek and streamlined look but those giant intakes make it look like a hamster that’s just stuffed its cheeks

By in Netherlands,

I actually prefer that Eurocopter Tiger in appropriate colors over the main build.

By in Poland,

This set got me out of my dark ages after I spontaneously picked one up at my local Lidl in 2012! My first experience of cheese slopes, curved slopes and dark blue.

I read "Super Soaker" at first. I think that's a Nerf-brand now, and cool as it might be to see a collaboration between Lego and Nerf, I fear it would only eventually lead to the invention of a Brittle Brown shrapnel-launcher.

For me it was Super Soaker, and while the colors check out, the function is less fun.

But it’s red. Red goes on the port wingtip. White goes on the tail in cases where that’s the aft most position on the plane.

By in Netherlands,

Not one that particularly stuck with me. Creator has done this subject matter a lot already and outside of the general era from the parts used, not much ties it to 2012 specifically. At least, not from a distance. It could have been 2010 or 2011 too.
The only part of note is the wing wedge parts in yellow.

That said, there's bound to be people who love this set for something specific, so I'd love to hear it :)

I have it, that is all. I have no opinion on this set at all

By in Canada,

Got some proper coloured parts for both Blacktron. Also has some parts that are not useful for Blacktron.

You're thinking of the navigation lights. There's also red anti-collision beacons that are mounted on the top (and sometimes bottom) of the aircraft (and white strobes on the tail and wingtips, but those aren't included in the set either). On smaller planes, it's typically just one on top of the tail; on airliners and other larger planes, there'll be one on the top and the bottom of the fuselage.

Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a UFO! It's a frog! No: It's SUPER SOARER!

No, there are three constant-on navigation lights on a typical plane. One is red, visible from the front centerline to 120 degrees aft port. Another is green, visible from the front centerline to 120 degrees aft starboard. The third is white, visible in the aft 120 degrees.

There are also typically five strobe beacons. One is located at the aftmost point(s) on the plane (usually the tail, but sometimes on the wingtips when they are the aftmost points. The other four are located on the wingtips, dorsal hull, and ventral hull. All five of these strobes are white, never red. Red only ever indicates the port side of the plane.

A few LEGO sets have actually gotten the red/green lights (mostly) right. I've never owned one that included the white nav light, or any of the anti-collision strobes, but I don't own any of the large licensed sets based on real-world planes, like the Space Shuttle transport 747.

This is clearly a center brake light, and indicates that this is actually just a really unusual ground vehicle.

You went from having no knowledge to a lot, PurpleDave.

I’m more familiar with nav lights on boats, but they follow the same principles with the red/green/white triad. Instead of strobes, though, they have one or two raised white lights. Or, if the vessel is small enough, all you’re required to carry at night is a handheld flashlight.

Ah, so I wasn't the only one who read the name of the set as Super Soaker
