Bring back trains!

Another lovely little vintage set, and another train one at that. @Huwbot is really making a stand for vintage trains.

Huwbot does have a soft spot for vintage train sets, doesn't he? Bless him.

"Loco and Tender"

Kind of sounds like a dating-profile of the "not even once"-variety. Friends don't let their friends stack their bricks on crazy.

One of my first lego sets
Rebuild it a few years ago.
Motor and gear box required cleaning and re greasing. But it worked fine.
Not bad for 50-year-old set

Down by the station early in the morning,
See the little pufferbellies all in a row.
See the engine driver pull the little handle,
Puff, puff, Toot! Toot! Off we go.

(This song was the first thing I thought of when I saw today's RSOTD. The engine even has a little handle to throw to get it to go!)

By in United Kingdom,

Love the diagram showing how to couple the back of the locomotive to the front of the locomotive, maybe possible in a wrap around alternative dimension.

I had a couple of those battery boxes - always fun having built something and got it moving and having to chase it around the room to flick the switch to make it stop!
