Behold! A bit of an oddball of a set.

By in United States,

I saw the name before I saw the picture and had a brief moment of "Wait, what?" Then I noticed the picture and was like, "Oh, right. Belville was a thing."

Who knew H.P. Lovecraft was into sparkle fairies?

Well he did write a story about indescribable colours, and I'm sure the fairy's would be into that kind of colour spectrum.

And in its 11th year by this point, no less! It survived past 2003 as well, when many things did not.

Having said that, this fairy character is pretty survival horror-esque.

Cool transparent flower parts though

…definitely not the Don Bluth version.

We have such sights to show you.

By in Germany,

A ton of weird and rare colors in the same set plus a licence so old it needs no licencing fee - yay!

Also Belville getting into crazy, we-no-longer-care-about-scale-territory.

EDIT:
It's crazy how long Light Yellowish Green survived the Big Color Change.

Well, this particular wave was based on fairytales, so scale is a bit negotiable, you might say.

Also, kudos to Lego for depicting a mermaid society advanced enough to make actual clothes.

By in United Kingdom,

Is this our first 1:1 actual scale minifig?

By in Netherlands,

Ah, from the Hans Christian Andersen homage wave! How cute. The flower petals always intrigued me.

Perhaps! That said, we just don't know if some sets depict liliputians...

By in Netherlands,

I just realise the bed has a an antenna with leaf foliage sprouting from the top. It looks the right kind of odd.

Spot the Fabuland green car radiator! Fairy no 7 only appears in this set, shame the teapot is not the silver chrome version.

*quietly backs away without pointing out that purple is technically an imaginary color*

All colour is merely perception, ImaginaryDave.
