Ben Cossy's gonna love this one!

I always did like the giant handcuffs they gave this wave of the HF heroes.

That's...a bit of awkward positioning.

Honestly just looks like 8975 got a promotion. It’s why I’m surprised this is a few years into Hero Factory, by then it had gained its own identity a bit more and had stopped feeling like quite the Bionicle we bought of Temu

I appreciate that for the Breakout wave of Heroes, they reused some of the original helmets from the first run. Kept the identity of the characters a bit.

By in Germany,

The Breakout subtheme was a bit all over the place design-wise but with some genuine brilliancy: the creators got to explore new ideas while making the setting planets almost feel they were created with an elemental affiliation in mind. I also appreciated all 9 heroes were featured in the same subtheme.

By in Netherlands,

Had this one on sale for a while years ago. It was a very simple build and the colors weren't great. Its arms are where most of the lime was.
Breakout is one of Hero Factory's strongest outings, but this one was along the bottom.

That does not look like regular blue. The official renders tone down the blue and lime color scheme. For better or worse, Surge actually has a really loud color scheme.

Why do we keep getting bionicles/hero factory for RSotD?

Oh, you mean the Zamor Sphere or whatever it was called in the Hero Factory universe? At least there's only one.

Can someone forward this comment to Lance Armstrong, for the next time he plays Cards Against Humanity?

My thoughts exactly. Color scheme is absolutely on par.

Well we haven't had any for the last 10 days so I don't see how we "keep getting" them. But to answer, it's because those two themes lasted over 15 years combined. There are a lot of sets in that time, a lot more than most themes could attest to outside of Ninjago. They're bound to show up frequently, even more if you factor in Star Wars, Ben 10, and superhero constraction, plus Slizers and Roboriders.

That’s fair

They may also stick out more because of how different they are from the majority of sets.

I can only associate the blue-and-lime colour scheme with Hahli Mahri, and I'd definitely call this guy a bit of a downgrade from her; fairly plain pieces instead of Bionicle's more intricate designs, no wings.

That said, the significant advantage he *does* have is that his lime sockets are not from 2007 and therefore won't crack the instant you look at them...!

The smooth, rounded shells are probably the thing I like least about CCBS, especially in comparison to the Bionicle aesthetic. Part 19087 can only do so much.

I heard about this from some of the younger Bionicle fans in my LUG, and immediately thought about some of my old Bionicle creations (Jade Dragon, Nui-Kapowai), but thankfully since I'd dropped out of the theme by mid-2004, all of my lime parts were too old to suffer from that issue.
