The forklift has a bigger cabin than the truck. Heck, that forklift is basically bigger than the truck! Does old LEGO not scale well to itself?

A very nice, less common, low-loader variant of the articulated lorry base used in several other Legoland sets of the time. A bit prone to bending and cracking in the middle!

That flab piece at the back of the trailer is interesting.

Lego intended for play has *never* scaled well to itself.

It's a ramp that folds down for the forklift to back off of the end of the trailer.

Yeah, I could tell that, but I just think that it's an interesting-looking piece.

What are you talking about? Vintage set. It’s all basic bricks. No specialized pieces to be found.

“What is this? A low-loader for ants!”

By in Netherlands,

I still can't help but feel surprised how old that catapult piece is.

Oh yeah, looking at it again, I realize that I was fooled by an optical illusion. Of course things like ramps or functioning forklifts or wheels didn't exist back then!

By in Netherlands,

Nice how it even has cargo on the front of the bed for the forklift to move around
