You know, Lego definitely erases two notable features of Petunia and Vernon’s appearances: her unusually long neck and his complete lack of one.

Main antagonist of the Harry Potter franchise.

Don't push her head all the way down.

I still struggle to register Petunia Dursley was the same actress as Maarva Andor. Great performances, and completely transformative between the two roles.

It's been a long time since I watched a Harry Potter movie (the last one I watched was GoF, and that when it was still in theaters), but even with remembering nothing of her performance in those, yeah, that's a contrast. (Speaking of Maarva Andor, side note: In the recording of her played at her funeral, when she said, "Fight the Empire!" the actress actually used a different F-word, but Disney made them edit it out.)

One of about six Harry Potter figs to use that hair. It's apparently quite a popular style

I recently looked at Privet Drive and was amazed to see there have only been 3 versions of it, and this is one of only two Petunia figs.

I’d say this is better than the current one, as the face lines make her looked accurately pinched despite the minifig head shape.

Not sure the torso needed the boob lines though, I tend to think of her as too thin.

The video game got rid of Dudley's neck, at least, which was distressing to me because his head was the only one I had unlocked that was non-descript enough to represent me in the character creator. I can't remember offhand if it did the same for Vernon.

Years ago I thought that HP sets and minifigures would increase in value a lot over the years, but that has not been the case for the most part. It's not the same as with SW or LOTR.

One guess why that is

Nobody need guess because the answer is obvious: the three themes are not in the same situation at all where minifigures are concerned.

Star Wars minifigures remain valuable because Star Wars fans tend to be interested in collecting multiple versions of characters, particularly older figures that are often very different to those available today. Additionally, you will find many LEGO Star Wars fans claiming that the most modern versions of certain characters are not necessarily the best ones, which increases the value of those figures considered definitive.

The Lord of the Rings minifigures remain valuable because so many of the characters produced in 2012 and 2013 have not been available since, or only in very expensive sets.

Harry Potter minifigures tend to be less valuable for several reasons. There are far fewer major Harry Potter characters relative to the number of sets, so characters are repeated much more often, which keeps their value down for those wishing to collect one of every character. Also, there is less variation between Harry Potter minifigure designs because the theme has been so segmented over time, in contrast with a theme like Star Wars.

At least they printed them over everything else, unlike the first run of the 2008 Harley Quinn. Her lines were printed before the color blocking, so it looks like she had a mastectomy.

@CapnRex101:
There also aren’t a lot of characters that lend themselves to armybuilding in HP. Dementors, merfolk, centaurs, goblins, and maybe the masked Deatheaters is about it. And the bulk of the early run was yellow, while all the 2018+ stuff is fleshie, so it’s really more the new releases that drive minifig collecting.

"My name is Maarva Carrassi Andor. I'm honored to stand before you. I'm honored to be a Daughter of Ferrix, and honored to be worthy of the stone. […]

There is a wound that won't heal at the center of the galaxy. There is a darkness reaching like rust into everything around us. We let it grow, and now it's here. It's here and it's not visiting anymore. It wants to stay.

The Empire is a disease that thrives in darkness, it is never more alive than when we asleep. It's easy for the dead to tell you to fight, and maybe it's true, maybe fighting is useless. Perhaps it's too late. But I'll tell you this, if I could do it again, I'd wake up early and be fighting those bastards from the start! Fight the Empire!"

Um…which video game? From what I can see the versions of both Dudley and Vernon from the games both have the typical minifigure neck.

Has she got a leaf print shirt on or have leaves blown on to the shirt?

There’s only two that feature minifigs, that I'm aware of. There’s Years 1-4 and Years 5-7. But then the next question is if it’s just the playable characters, just the cutscenes, or both. Because I could see a tweak being made to the characters before release, or that someone got a little creative with the cutscene CGI and it never got translated to the gameplay. At least I’d assume the cutscenes are pre-generated instead of dynamically when triggered.

Is Maarva Andor the older lady with a walking stick? Was originally a bounty hunter or scavenger not really sure and had a pet droid named B? (Im assuming this is from the Star Wars show Andor)

Cause if so then yes, great acting. 'Uncle Vernon' if I recall correctly was also a friendly chef/detective in Pie in the Sky and a slobbish King George III in Pirates of the Caribbean (accompanied by the Commissioner from Endeavour tv show and head of the ISB in Andor and Detective Thursday, also from Endeavour.)

To return to the lego though, love this figure! Wish this hair was more common and that that torso was reused elsewhere.

Lego really needs to expand its minifigure clothing range. This torso is good for a mature aged lady ,whereas in lego modular boutique hotel they had an elderly lady wearing the sort of frock top a teenager or very early twenties lady would wear to the beach. It's just not right.

Also someone should tell lego not all elderly men wear pullover vests 24/7.
