By in Malaysia,

Reminds me of the very last time I visited the cinema. Since then, saw one film on streaming, and a few on YouTube.

This was a neat little set. I'd love some new Sequel playsets like this.

By in United States,

Hard to believe the sequels were 10+ years ago. I wish they used this sand headwrap piece in other things, it's a nice mold.

By in United States,

I'd like to take this moment to say, I hate the voice of LEGO Rey in the animations. I know it's not too inaccurate to Daisy Ridley, but the voice is a bit too deep and they really thicken that accent, and I'm just not a fan. I'm not crazy about regular Rey either, that's more to do with how she's been written, but LEGO Rey is hard for me to listen to. I can picture this minifigure screaming and shouting at this raider guy, threatening him, and him thinking that voice was enough to make him go away. Whatever junk she had or whatever her speeder was worth isn't worth the lip he'd get about it.

Of it bothers you that the speeder is oversized, you must be new to Lego.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Easily one of the most iconic Star Wars sets, despite it being only 11 years old.

A great little set, but both of mine are plagued by the brittle red issue.

Nah. The fact that the best thing I could say about the movie is that this vehicle was a flying popsicle is a bit more concerning.

NOOOOOOO! Not iconic coz no Clones! WORST SET EVER!!! ME WANT CLONES!

By in Australia,

Got this set for Christmas that year when I was in the middle of my dark ages. Kind of nostalgic for that reason, but it’s a really cute build all round. Love the Unkar’s Thug figure as well.

Would they ever release a Star Wars set at that price again? I’m doubting it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Crazy that we didn’t get a remake of this set for The Force Awakens’ 10th anniversary. Then again, they ignored Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, so… have fun with smart bricks I guess?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Have this one...but I DIDN'T BUY IT...memory serves: the Neph bought it for me for a birthday...and I KNOW, I still haven't built it (and probably never will...:))

Gravatar
By in Turkey,

It's a nice set and fits well with the SW universe.

Dang this is already over ten years old? Man time flies.

Where did you get that idea? If you asked me to start listing iconic Lego Star Wars sets, I'd list stuff from the first waves, like 7140, or something like 75192 (which almost certainly hold the record for most appearances in the Most Viewed Sets list), but the only way I'd list this set is if you narrowed that down to "Most Iconic Sequel Trilogy sets."

By in United States,

The first Sequels set I bought at what was it, the day after all the Episode 7 toys launched in that big event? I forgot what it was called. You know for how much I've soured on the sequel trilogy since its completion, that hype to The Force Awakens and it's initial premiere was fun! Fondly remember that time. Helps this is a fun set too.

Verticle speeder, as per the creators.

By in United States,

They're not in the business of remaking sequel sets these days but the right curved parts now exist in the inventory to do this vehicle with a much nicer looking front end. I imagine it would be smaller too

Honestly this is one of the few speeders that doesn’t look oversized to me, as in the film it really is a big chunky tractor of a thing. Feels like it’s got the proportions pretty spot on really

I said one of the most iconic. And I didn't have it anywhere near the top of the list either. I think it is one of the most iconic because it's one of the most popular Star Wars sets. Over 27,000 Brickest members own it, it's an easily recognizable set.

By in Netherlands,

It's a nice set. I like that it opens up for storage. That's neat and nowadays they wouldn't always do that anymore, even though it just adds so much life and utility to a vehicle if the inside is usable. Good figs as well. The headwrap part is neat. I wish there was an even smaller entry point to the TFA theme, but I guess the microfighters covered that too.

Overall a perfectly fine set that now fills me with a weird sense of nostalgia because everything seemed a lot more hopeful for Star Wars as a whole back then, including the set lines. Sure, there was a lot of overlap with ANH... but still. When TLJ came around the smallest set was a lot larger (again, not counting microfighters. Something we can't take for granted today either). Not to mention... everything else.

My first TFA set, too. and I'll admit that I enjoyed the movie; I was upset that what they're now calling the Legends continuity wasn't going to get any more expansion (unless you count the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMORPG), but I was willing to give this new continuity a shot. I didn't much care for Episodes VIII and IX, but Rogue One was decent, even if it was fairly obvious going in who would (or rather, who *wouldn't*) be surviving to the end credits, and I enjoyed Solo, even if giving Han's last name a backstory was dumb. I've also enjoyed the TV shows.

But still, this set has been around for less than half of LSW's run. I'm not saying that only sets from the first year or UCS sets are iconic, I'm not even saying that it isn't iconic (I will agree that, as one of the first, if not *the* first TFAsets released, it definitely is iconic), I'm just saying that calling it one of the *most* iconic LSW sets is exaggerating. Besides, we all know what the *most* iconic Sequel Trilogy set is: 75201! Just... not for the right reasons...

"She rides a popsicle!" - my brother, ranting about TFA after our cinema visit.

I got this in 2018 after the dark ages, and couldn't believe that it had a RRP of 30 Euros.
Definitely not that value, but as a build and model, it is satisfying.

I think the Disney TV series has been one of the best additions to Star Wars. Sure there's been low points, but overall it's been anywhere from "it's good" to "absolute cinema." If opening the door to Andor, Skeleton Crew and The Mandalorian is The Force Awaken's legacy 11 years later, ain't to bad.

I miss some of Legends though. It was a convoluted mess but the old EU is fondly remembered. I was joking the other day though with friends, that in the sequels out of Han-Luke-Leia-Chewie that Chewbacca is the only survivor in canon... and the opposite is true in Legends! I hearby declare Disney Canon as the "Chewbacca: Last Wookie Standing" canon, may canon Chewbacca live long and prosper (wrong Star-franchise quote but still) and never have moons dropped on him again!

The millennium falcon was inspired by a burger and the Slave I a streetlamp I believe. So nothing new for Star Wars ;)

By in United Kingdom,

That is quite a large detailed well designed speeder for a small set.
I just don't remember seeing the chainsaw used much in Star Wars, more of a Warhammer or Doom weapon, but good to have handy next to blaster and light-saber.

Still a great set!

By in Brazil,

Brittle brown AND brittle dark red in the SAME set? You’ve got to be kidding!

Even if Rey is a terrible character and one of my least favorites in Star Wars, this is a great little set, like most of the Sequel playsets. The movies might’ve been bad, but LEGO locked in on the sets.

By in United Kingdom,

I have been thinking about the most iconic LEGO Star Wars sets over the course of the day and it is interesting to consider. There are six I would consider essential inclusions in a top ten:

7140 X-wing Fighter
10188 Death Star
8014 Clone Walker Battle Pack
10179 Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon
75021 Republic Gunship
75192 Millennium Falcon

Then there are a few others I think are strong candidates, like 4504 Millennium Falcon and 7662 Trade Federation MTT, but it is hard to know whether they are only iconic to me, or to everybody. 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers is another possibility. Knowing the numbers off the top of your head is probably a good indication of whether a set is 'iconic'!

As for Sequel Trilogy inclusions, I think 75099 Rey's Speeder is a fair option, but I would give the edge to 75102 Poe's X-wing Fighter.

Doesn’t matter how they justify it. There are now two other comments noting that the movie prop is shaped like a popsicle (even if this set fails to convey that fact), and one more claiming an ice cream bar (which is basically the same shape).

@Binnekamp:
But the difference is nobody looks at the Falcon and immediately thinks it looks like a hamburger with an olive sitting next to it. If you know that story, you can kinda wrap your mind around how it resulted in the finished design, but it isn’t like someone painted the design on an actual popsicle and sent a picture to the model shop. You look the source material for this set and all you can see is a popsicle. Or an ice cream bar. Or a fudgesicle. Or a sand sculpture of any of the three previous items, I guess.

By in United Kingdom,

I picked up this set in a sealed box from ebay not particularly long ago, and the bricks were fortunately fine, which was a relief. The stickers were more of a problem, so I’m told, but since I didn’t have to deal with the aggravation of applying them I’m fairly sanguine about it.

I think it’s the only sequel trilogy kit we’ve got, aside from Microfighters. I just really like ships and speeders of this approximate size I guess.

I'm going to be pedantic and point out that that's not a chainsaw, it's a buzz saw.

@CapnRex101: I know that 7662 is considered the best MTT they've done, but why 4504 rather than any other minifig-scale Falcon?

Bruh, no. Stop doubling down on this.

27,000 people own it because it was one of the cheapest sets from the Force Awakens wave, not because it was iconic. Picture this: you're shopping for a friend in 2015. They like Star Wars and Lego, but you don't want to spend more than $30. Boom - this set is your answer.

"Iconic" - absolutely not. Name the memorable moments where this machine appeared. How much screen time did it have? How broken up was Rey when she realized she no longer had it? You can't, because it's background filler.

Think before you comment on every article, the ability to speak doesn't equal having anything to say

4504 Millennium Falcon defined how Millennium Falcon play sets would be designed for years to come and was a set ahead of its time, in my opinion.

It appeared in the original teaser trailer for The Force Awakens, which arguably makes the speeder pretty memorable. The seven shots in that trailer were analysed to death and one focuses entirely on Rey's speeder.

That's true. 7190 just had you lift the top off and set it to the side, but 4504 kept everything connected when you looked at the interior.
