You might need a few more walls for this to be a very effective stable since there's no visible rope to keep the horse where you want it.

Well, the only moving part on horses of that era was the head, so I'm not sure that anything more is really necessary.

getting in there to say it first, Paradisa had the coolest colours

That's what the hay is for!

I just built this the other day, also have the box front and back. I now own 1.5x of this set, not sure exactly what dupe parts, but I should expand it a bit. I love the old colors from Paradisa, and all the scenes. They know how to relax!

It's a "riding stable". Someone has to keep riding, 24/7.

God help me, actually trying to get all the paradisa sets eventually.

Sweet beach breeze...

The pastel palette is just so good.

By in Turkey,

Easy breezy, that's what life is all about when you live in Paradisa...

By in Netherlands,

Paradisa, my beloved. I love the vibe and colors of the theme. A theme focussed on leisure from the 90s is just such a great thing to build :)

As for this set, it's either a mini version or a supplement to its contemporary set 6419 Rolling Acres Ranch, as the entire vehicle and trailer are basically identical to the ones in that set, leaving only the structure as unique.

As I already have that set now, and having found out I vastly prefer the other subjects from Paradisa from horseriding, I don't think I'll get this set anytime soon. But it was great that the option was there at the time for those who couldn't afford the whole ranch set. In fact, this set is quite a complete package itself already.

By in Germany,

Miss the Paradisa Sets. The color scheme on them is just gorgeous. Good Times !!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I remember seeing this in a catalog and noticing the car has the same building technique for the hood as one of the cars in 6387, which we had.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I feel if this actually came out with a $37 price tag today there would be quite a few complaints because that's quite sparse to look at

Gravatar
By in United States,

If I had to live in a LEGO world based on a theme, Paradisa would be truly wonderful.

As opposed to Ninjago, where every day is an apocalypse.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

To me as a kid the theme was mind-blowing.
Not because of the sets in particular, but because it made me realize that LEGO could actually make more colours than just the usual red-yellow-blue-white-grey.
I mean, back in the day even a piece in green, brown or dark grey was almost as rare as a unicorn, let alone pastel colours like the ones from Paradisa.

A similar experience I recall when seeing set 1552 that my friend from England had for the first time.

By in Australia,

Paradisa was just the best.

Ever.

By in Norway,

Paradisa is my childhood. Pluss set 6552 Rocky River Retreat. I just recently built them. Oh, how I wanted 6416 Poolside Paradise and 6419 Rolling Acres Ranch. Some day.... :)

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Hey Sarah, I reckon he’s in the float under the palm tree.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Ah yeah, Paradisa. For me, that was right on the cusp of "girls are icky and dumb" and "but dang man, new colours!". In the end, I just gave my COOL MANLY ACTION BRRRR VROOOM PEW PEW city a lovely beachfront wellness-retreat, and I got a few copies of this set to supplement that. I used quite a few of those printed roof-slopes for pavement because - well, wouldn't you?

Probably not. Assuming housing prices had likewise only just about doubled.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Seems to be more of a car port than a stable. I find it's always best to make sure the horse fits before buying an expensive trailer.

i've the collection quite complete, all the sets with manuals and boxes... I miss only 1815, easy to rebricks, hard to find with its box... it's my Waterloo... sigh...

By in Jersey,

13 year old me decided he wanted this more than he wanted the few pounds sterling it cost. Not going to lie I felt a bit embarrassed buying it, “uh yeah it’s for my little sister”

Fast forward 30 years and I’m dismantling it, putting it back in the box before wrapping it in a parcel along with a 6411, 6416 and 6419 much more recently acquired, then posting the all off to an eager new buyer halfway round the globe. My Lego collection is now a Paradisa-free zone and I’m ok with that.

Man when this set came out it would have been in two bags and taken 30 seconds to build. Pure fun and nobody ever complained.

Nowadays the same thing is five bags, 400 pieces, over two instruction booklets, and takes two hours and five glasses of wine.

Where did Lego lose its way?!?!?!?

The Battle of Waterloo was in 1815. Whether you did that on purpose or unintentionally, that just made my day

Yeah, if it takes two whole hours to build a 400pc set, maybe stop getting drunk before opening the box.

By in United States,

I have the whole line complete except 6418 Country Club which has become very expensive. Should have bought it years ago but someday I'll get it.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

What a great theme - love the Paradisa vibe. Particularly the baseplates and printed stone parts. In my view a lovely contrast to a lot of the chaotic licensed stuff and dull City sets we get today. I love using Lego to create what a less stressful life would be like and Paradisa fits the bill precisely. Would love a revival or at least a minifigure pack like the ‘Fun at the Beach’ one but ‘Fun on a Tropical Vacation’ instead.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Friends should do a Paradisa homage, even if they have to bring back colors to do it.

While I'll admit that living in Paradisa would be nice, if I could live in a world based on a Lego theme, Classic Space all the way.

Not the best Paradisa set, but the theme remains GOATed. We *need* an 18+ throwback modular-sized set of SOME kind.

Speak for yourself. A model of 30-50 euro in size would do just as nicely ;)

I want a BIG hotel with beachfront. I want nothing less than the Barracuda Bay of PARADISA.

A friend had this set when I was a kid. It brings back so many memories. What a great set and a great subtheme!

What about TAN? I learned about it from a book about Legoland from the 80s, it says that tan was a special color only used at the park to build Mount Rushmore and other models in the Western zone. I managed to see it in 2008 before it was replaced by a smaller one.
