By in United States,

I bet it swooshes very well.

EDIT: Just learned it's a 2-in-1 set and the other build is a plane, so it most definitely swooshes. Although I suppose it would be more of nyeeeeeooooooowwwww.

IT'S GOT TO BE REALLY LOUD, WITH YOUR HEAD RIGHT INSIDE THE ENGINE INTAKE LIKE THAT!

By in United States,

Is it full of eels?

By in Nepal,

One of the many sets I have with half of its pieces in a moc, and the other half rotting in storage

By in United Kingdom,

Much preferred the 663 Hovercraft. More like the I.O.W. ones that I remember!

By in Canada,

Not much of a 'skirt' (the under apparatus that inflates and billows air under the hovercraft, giving it lift over land and water)...I thin my fave hovercraft design by TLG was in 60071 Hovercraft Arrest w/the added bonus of a really cool half-track:)

Would that make your nipples explode with delight?

By in Turkey,

It's a good looking set, definetly a keeper. And I don't mean in parts bin.

By in Germany,

RIP affordable, unlicensed, car-free, fun Technic sets with cool B-models. :(

Please fondle my buttocks!

By in Australia,

Got this at a second hand store, $5. Mainly bought for the propeller piece.

Fun function where the pistols move up and down as it drives along (or 'hovers' along)

By in United Kingdom,

Last night I checked in to an Airbnb in Budapest. There was one random Technic set sitting on a shelf. Not being hugely into Technic, I thought I'd try finding it on Brickset at the airport the next day. Today, I opened Brickset to see the same set as the RSOTD... Is Huwbot stalking me in the streets of Budapest?!

By in United Kingdom,

I brought mainly for the cool B model aeroplane where the wings and wheel pieces make more sense. This probably should have being the A model but uses less pieces so had to be the B model.
Economically worth buying 2nd hand for the flexible tubing, as the each tubing is around a $ as popular with GBCs. Although less useful the tube around the propeller is unique to this set.

Hungarian Phrasebook is one of the best Monty Python skits. Did you know it's based off a Mark Twain story?

When that one was VSotW, a lot of people were posting about what hovercraft sets they preferred. In fact, the very first comment was @PurpleDave saying that he thought 8824 was better. And people are already doing the same here.

English as She is Spoke (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_as_She_Is_Spoke) was an actual phrasebook, not a Mark Twain story, although the American edition had an introduction by Twain, in which he said, "Nobody can add to the absurdity of this book, nobody can imitate it successfully, nobody can hope to produce its fellow; it is perfect."

And on the subject of phrasebooks, dictionaries and the like, how about this Classic:

What a sight. Johnny English, Dr. House and Hagrid all in the same scene.

And I’m pretty sure this book has been referenced in the Brickset comments before, as I’m pretty sure that’s where I first heard of it.

By in Switzerland,

I have this set, even though it was released right in the middle of my dark ages. When I dug out my collection this was the only set I did not recall owning at all. I still don't remember to this day how I got this, maybe a testament to how unremarkable it is.

When I rebuilt it, I improved upon the B-model by making the propeller wheel-driven, a big omission from the set's designer.

This one only has House an English, but still more than worth a watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvQ_p4oh-Zw

I mentioned it in the aforementioned VSotW article: https://brickset.com/article/104976
