It's Earth Day, it's called Universal Set, and it's not a globe. Missed opportunities all around. Sorry Huwbot, you missed on this one.

The B-model can pick up the globe in 4191.

I had this one, it was so cool--I can't say I did a lot with the pneumatics, I only ever had what came in this set, but it was enough to see how it all worked and a fun introduction to the concept. This era of technic was great, I loved the function-over-form philosophy and so many models in a single set.

By in Turkey,

I was given this by my cousin decades ago, still built and in working condition. Lovely little set with simple functions.

That universal set is using some very specialised technic parts, it’s actually less universal than a normal Lego set

The Universal set I wanted but never got.....Pneumatic is cool!
(even when this is still the flawed old system...)

I actually do own this one. It was my very first Lego Technic Set back in the 80ies. It was one of mz favourite sets back than. It sits now assembled (main model) in my display case alongside other technic models. And it still works.

"what does it mean "universal""
Just meant that this wasn't a set with a particular main model, but rather a whole bunch (usually at least 5 or 6) of builds which you could see as B-models, none of which would use all parts. More like a starter pack to get you into Technic, get a useful selection of pieces, and learn the basics of building with it.
