Do I even want to know what's up with all the bananas?

I used to have a dorm-mate named Aaron, so when I see this set's name, I think of him and laugh

Throwback to 8772?

...Of Ultimate Destiny. (Someone had to say it.)

These sets were pretty cool. I liked the fully kitted out versions of the characters, as well as how it implemented the app game Nexo Powers as physical variations you could build onto their weaponry (something it's kinda a shame none of the other Nexo sets did—look how effective Dreamzzz has been at making alternate builds a core part of its appeal).

Agreed with the comment upthread. I liked these Ultimate Figure sets. Most of them, not all but most, were great in terms of really interesting pieces and weapons and accessories that weren't widely available at the time.

And of course it’s pronounced A-A-Ron.

What a crazy little set. Love it.

Year 1 Nexo Knights was. my. SHIZNIT!!!

By in Netherlands,

This had some amazing stuff, and giving you a super version of the regular knights with add-ons is pretty much the best of these type of character sets if you ask me. These were great.

In this case the modern bow and arrow and goggles are just very fun to include. The bananas are a different kind of fun.

There were in fact many other Aarons after this one so that name is, technically, incorrect

Maybe so, but "Penultimate Aaron" doesn't quite have the same pizzazz.

I bought a few of these second hand a couple years ago. Their translucent armour is good to use as power ring armour for a Green Lantern, etc.

What happened to the Penultimate Aaron?

4 banana bomb at he's smiling like an innocent person

Following on from yesterday I wonder if Aaron's Arsenal would have made it past the censors. The bananas are an energy boost and to create slip hazards.

This is from year 1 of Nexo Knights; he’s not even the Penultimate Aaron! He’s the Very Early On Aaron!
I’m just trying to decide if that makes him sound more like Dr Seuss or Roald Dahl character

Maybe he's a Minion in disguise.

Of course, some people (including a guy I gamed with before my stroke) seem to think that "penultimate" means "ultimate, but more."

Very little-brother-coded set.

Kinda like how “infamous” means “_in_ famous”?

Well, they're the best thing to add to your blueberry smoothie.

My son was about 7 when Nexo Knights were released. He loved all of it - the animated show, the video game, and especially the Lego sets . . . 70317 was an especially amazing set!

Green, green, why yes, so much GREEN!

By in Canada,

Got 'im because,,,well, favorite character of the cast: an archer who wears green...that sounds familiar...'superhero' like...oh yeah: Robin Hood...:D

Semi-seriously: I know NK had an 'expiration date', but dangit 1-2 more years would have been fun. I mean, TLG already had monsters that the knights hadn't even 'met' yet...but NK was up-against the juggernaut now-known as 'Ninjago'. Is it weird that TLG was trying create 'the next Ninjago', while trying to also compete against as well...(ponders):)

Green Lantern? Pretty sure he’s created arrow constructs at one point or another, maybe even with a boxing glove on the end or something.

I know they ended up in a similar situation with Chima, because Ninjago was in planned to conclude, fans threw a fit, and they ended up having to bring it back on top of launching Chima. And I’m pretty sure I heard Ninjago got “cancelled” a second time, only to be quickly revived, but I don’t know if that coincides with the launch of Nexo Knights.

Oh, hey. The only Nexo Knights set I bought.

It occurs to me that the final version of Aaron should, in fact, be Soylent Aaron.

Took me a while, but here I am.
And in my Ultimate form too.

Man, this is a funny connection for me! I have fond memories of telling my roommate Aaron (mentioned above) a joke I came up with: "What's the only sport you can only play once? / Ultimate Frisbee, because if you play again, it turns out the previous game was only Penultimate Frisbee"
He thought that extremely funny; more so than most people would have. Weird to have another Aaron/penultimate connection come up in my life...
