That's not a Jeep! A Jeep is a funny looking spotted animal, I don't know what this thing is.

By in New Zealand,

Was this the successor to a set named Jeep without steering?

Don't be silly. They've never had the Popeye license.

It's nice to know somebody else also thought of Popeye.

Had to scroll down through so many announcements articles to one that really matters, the vintage set :-)))

tsk, these modern sets with their large specialised pieces are ruining Lego

By in Netherlands,

Looks quite good, considering the limited parts at the time. And this size always lends itself well to the steering mechanism parts from the time. Not a fan of the black though, but I'm not sure what might have looked better from the limited Mondriaan colors. Maybe blue or red? Not sure.

Cool that it has a trailer too. If you got some homemaker figs you could have them ride in the back, or you could fill it with whatever you wanted to build for it. Speaking of figs, the open top lends itself to adding buildable ones more than a roofed vehicle.

That's one potential source for the name of the vehicle.

Yeah, they have no future if they keep making those.

Yup, still have mine built here at my desk, with working steering! Drive it around every now and then. Could use a check-up. The wheels are getting a bit squeeky.
