Should there not be an apostrophe in that name? Doll's Kitchen, Dolls' Kitchen, but Dolls Kitchen? I mean, it's Kitchen for Dolls, but even Doll Kitchen sounds better than Dolls Kitchen. Never stop inspiring the children of the 1970s, LEGO, but the grammar could have been better.

How about Kitchen of the Dolls?

You really should look up the instructions of these pre-Maxifig Homemaker sets.

Does that count as cross promotion? xD

I'm still curious what those dolls are exactly they used there.

By in Finland,

I'd like to put the turkey piece in the oven, but it probably won't fit!

The turkey was designed for part 6911 (Scala oven), which has a 6x6 footprint, so yeah, likely not.

By in Netherlands,

Interesting packaging. I've never seen that before. Or at least, not from the Homemaker line.

By in United Kingdom,

I've got the slightly later 263 in which dolls were included!

Just looked up the instructions on Peeron (http://peeron.com/scans/261-4/), and now I'm wondering that, too. I'm also wondering what figures produced by Lego would scale best to this set. My guess would be either Homemaker or Belville.

I see a blue container to the left of the stove. Must be milk for today's Random Figure Of The Day.

Okay, yeah, that's weird. It's like the kitchen has been invaded by aliens!

"Use your small dolls too," the instructions say. Apparently, girls of 1971 just had lots of "small dolls" around?

Anyway, it's BYOD, not dolls sold separately. I stand corrected!

By in United Kingdom,

My Brother had this set when we were kids with the matching Dolls Living Room 260
I loved the weird picture stickers that the set had, to stick on the various tiles.
we had loads of the Homemaker fogs for it, but I've no idea what set they came from, coz clearly they weren't;t from this one!

260 was an Idea Book what you had was 260-3.

By in Portugal,

My parents gave my sister this set along with the 200-1 in '74/'75. We played with it a lot until it became part of the LEGO pile. I still have some parts of the figures - arms, heads, hair - and some distinct parts from the 261-4 - some cupboards, the sink and the 1x4 printed stove brick, as well as the 2x2 tiles with the printed black ball...
Memories!

Technic figures are less capable of being unclothed than minifigures are. I mean, https://brickset.com/minifigs/tls104/everyone-is-awesome-yellow-(monochrome) exists for all your nude minifig part needs, but Technic figs were all fully clothed.

Someone at a nude beach might wear shoes and sunglasses, but I think most people would still consider them nude.

Just shoes and singlasses would be even worse, actually.
