That's...a bicycle-powered train for six? And only one other guest showed up? And one of the balloons on the back is partially deflated? I guess we shouldn't be surprised that the value has actually gone down since it retired.

Double Friends. I guess because of the party train.

I mean, I suppose they can all stand on the cars. They're enough of them to accommodate three minidolls and three hamsters, plus whoever rides the bike, so they've even still got room for one more pet. But train-surfing never ends well.

Meanwhile over at 77046, Julian seethes with envious rage.

@PurpleDave: Are we sure she's a guest; not the party organizer, and nobody else showed up...now that I think about; either is embarrassing...:D

Also: Double Friends day.:)

I was referring to the other hamster. Friends aren’t allowed to own more than one pet.

I remember seeing this set listed here on Brickset (before we had a picture or price for it) and thinking, yay, finally, a Friends train!

Alas.

Stephanie, Stephanie
And your hamsters made of brick.
Dave’s gone crazy
Figuring out your tricks.
Your balloons are all deflated.
Your value’s been relegated.
But your hamsters look sweet
Upon the seats
Of a bicycle-powered train for six!

By in Brazil,

I guess maybe the real train is the friends we made along the way.

Partyyyy! Woooo

Anyway, these Friends pet birthday sets always felt a bit... specific. Esoecially in-universe, but also as a toy. I don't know how often kids would want to use the party train in play. But idk, I'm not the target audience. And at least it was affordable

Maybe this set would have a higher resale value if it included six sloths as party guests.
