Who would win in a race between this guy and yesterday's guy?

I don't know, but this guy is ready to pulverise some nitrogen, however that works.
Awful era for faces.

Yesterday’s guy had S for speed on his suit, he’d clearly win

Before or after this guy drives right over the other one?
Always wanted the set, or at least the windshield/canopy. I always figured; 'hey, that would be a cool canopy for a spacecraft, like a long-range shuttle'...still haven't gotten one yet...:|
Also @PurpleDave: Soooo...'Here he comes, here come Speed's Eraser...':D
Also, also: Funny, he doesn't look like 'Rocket'...Oooooh, that's not 'Racoo...'...Hmmm...Well, I hope he has a better 'run' than Daniel Craig then...:D
@brick_r:
Rocken Racoot?

Ah monster truck versus pick up truck, the ultimate race
I recall that we've had a basketball player with this headprint recently. In the thread someone mentioned the Nitro Pupverizer driver. Well, here you go. There he is.
Although I'm not a huge fan of the simple racing suit print, it's nice that it's exlusive to him. And helmet printing is always nice!

Well, yes, but I don't know. I found them kind of charming.
That certainly is a "tell me about the rabbits again, George" face.
It's nice that Wrench got some more racing in before switching to basketball and hockey, excellent set, too, love the big chunky tires and I remember this one being sturdy enough to bonk down some stairs without too much disassembly.
But does his racing suit have yellow sleeves or is he bare-armed?

Yes this modern design era where no character is allowed to instilled into a figure other then :D is so much better youre so right.
Somehow this guy reminds me of Mugsy, a Looney Tunes character always accompanied by gangster Bugsy, here in "Bugsy and Mugsy" (1957): [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnWDsbqtMaM]

I think it is a drug reference, which is part of why Lego city needs so many police.

Yes.

The gangster's name was Rocky, not Bugsy. The "Busy" in the title "Bugsy and Muggsy" referred to Bugs bunny.
I've seen the theory that this guy is supposed to be Max Axel, who drove this car in the comics and the Legoland 4D movie, and who is the main driver for Team Nitro in the video game... but for myself, I can't really see it. Aside from his in-story helmet being a unique pattern with his surname spelled out above the visor, instead of the stars seen here, Max also doesn't have a monobrow or visible stubble in any of the illustrations (e.g. https://images.shoutwiki.com/lego/3/34/Max_axel.gif).
That said, the first Drome Racers comic featured Max racing for an unspecified different team. His car was wrecked early on (if I remember rightly due to Sever of Team Exo-Force, the resident cheats-to-win driver); meanwhile the Team Nitro driver had suffered an injury, while his car was still fully intact and functional. Rather than both be forced to drop out of the racing season, the two teams amalgamated on the spot, letting Max take the wheel of the Pulveriser, finish the race, and remain in the competition. In light of that, I'd tend to think the most likely canon identity for this guy is the original Team Nitro driver, the one who Max replaced.

Oh, right… I found it weird that they (supposedly) created a character with a name so close to Bugs Bunny, but that's what you get for not even reading the 1st result on Google :( I'll be more careful next time! Thanks!
I can't get enough of that face. LOL!

Yellow-sleeved t-shirt"
I was thinking more like the right arm is sleeved, since it connects to the yellow stripe across the chest, and the left arm is bare. Don’t ask how I know this, because I’m embarrassed on someone else’s behalf.
