By in United States,

I have two copies of 31132. I built the main model and the Viking house build. It looks great on display alongside 21343.

Obligatory comment number one: Vikings didn't have horns on their helmets.

Obligatory comment number two: "Kill da wabbit..."

Real Vikings didn’t have horned helmets.

Of course, real Vikings also didn’t fight giant sea monsters believed to be the offspring of one of their gods.

By in United Kingdom,

Nice to meet you Vik, how are your 37 older brothers?

By in United States,

I love how creator has been revisiting old themes and giving us fun playsets. I never got the set due to it being out of my small(and now much smaller) Lego budget, but I certainly enjoyed it from afar. It also spawned a fair number of delightful mocs which are always fun to see!

Tell me some more about Viking-helmets not having horns while I frantically search for EVEN MORE AND BIGGER HORNS to add to this helmet. Speak up! I can't hear you! My searching is too frantic!

By in Netherlands,

At least this guy uses the rubbery horn type. Trying to find period-accurate hard plastic horns for my second-hand viking sets that had many of the 2010-onward rubbery type is a pain. Bricklink doesn't even make the distinction!

Nice fig btw. The set is nice but I feel lime they tried to shoe-horn it into the Creator mold too much. And the posing on that Midgard Serpent is s travesty.

Please. I already did that in 2022. Dinosaur tails and hockey sticks aren’t even the largest ones I came up with.

Like when you didn't limit yourself to individual pieces stuck into the helmet holes, but full-on constructions? https://brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.php?i=6750254

By in Australia,

This is where it becomes mandatory to google the Danish Road Safety council ‘Helmet ad, partly because it’s funny & partly because the Danes do know what Viking helmets looked like….

Yup, that's the stuff. This year, I'll be able to rebuild those ones the way I actually wanted to in the first place, and I've already got other horns set aside to upgrade some of the less impressive ones from before.

It's better than spam, baked beans, sausage, egg, and spam!

It's funny Huwbot picked this fig today, as yesterday Disney's Atlantis the Lost Empire celebrated it's 25 anniversary. The original (deleted) opening scene was set on a Viking ship with a guy who looks a bit like this!

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that even though Viking helmets were not in possession of good horns, they would have looked much better with them.

We may thus be thankful that this historical accuracy has been corrected.

Eh, depends on whether Marvel got involved or not.
