This was about the best LEGO could do with DC that wasn't just Batman, and they still got relegated into being a con exclusive. DC fans must have been seething.

Wasn't expecting to see a comic con exclusive set, but here we are. lol

Pretty peak for those lucky and fortunate enough to get this set. My equivalent Brickheadz Holy Grail would be 41498 .

Two firsts in one! First Brickheadz RSotD, and first con exclusive RSoTD.

If you ask me, 41629 was the better Boba, although the Han in Carbonite is pretty sweet. My Brickheadz Holy Grail isn't a single set, it's the collection of TLM2 ones (https://brickset.com/sets/theme-BrickHeadz/subtheme-The-LEGO-Movie-2) that I never saw anywhere.

I would have confidently stated that BrickHeadz wasn't a decade old yet.

TLBM sets should be eligible starting in…six months, 11 days.

The Invisible Jet looks great in the background there

By in Netherlands,

Just needs a Lex Luther to complete the cast of 6862 Superman vs Power Armor Lex.
... I understand why they wouldn't do mr. Bald though.

I like the unikitty tail as Superman's s-curl. The silver braces on WW is also a nice touch that would be harder to add on a minifig (printed arms cost extra and we all know how the poor, poor company thinks about costs)

The brickheadz format is not one I enjoy otherwise. I think this Wonder Woman could have benefitted from better hair texture at least. Usually that's the best part about them. Actually, 41599 Wonder Woman did just that. It might just be a different incarnation of the character though. It's hard to tell. Especially with this format.

This is nice and cute but my fave dual set is 41611 Marty McFly & Doc Brown.

By in Belgium,

great use of that unikitty tail piece

I can't believe the Brickheadz theme is 10 years old now.

I think you mean 6862-2. When I think of reused set numbers, I tend to think of sets from much earlier than the 2010s, although 6862 *was* a promotional thing that (if memory serves) was only available to members of the Lego Builder's Club, so I can see how that would have slipped through the cracks. And why wouldn't they do a Brickheadz Lex? He wouldn't be the first bald comic book bad guy they've done: 41605

71026-2. Also, both of the DCEU versions have printed arms.

Like Dimensions WRT other toys-to-life, Funko Pops already being so overexposed by the time Brickheads started up meant I had no interest in them, even if the Lego version of the fad is always going to be superior by virtue of still being Lego you can take apart and do something else with.

This was one of the first, though, right? I think Funko started with DC characters too.

He'd be pretty dull if he was a direct recreation of 6862's minifigure. They could work in his power armour, but the real reason Lego wouldn't do it is that he isn't Batman.

There were two DC sets and two Marvel sets released at SDCC in 2016, and the navigation buttons indicate there are no sets 2015 or earlier. So yes, this was one of the first four sets to be released.

Cool set. Not a huge brickheadz guy though.

The Lego funko pop experiment is an interesting one, since some sold out immediately and others warmed shelves for ages. My holy grail is still Jack skellington and sally

SIGH…(grabs/drags out ‘soapbox’)…(steps on ‘soapbox’, taps/tests mic.)…ahem…:
It’s time, once again, to address TLGs…problem (yeah, let’s go with that) with DC Comics. Yes, I’ve brought this in the past; and yes, I am biased (bigger DC fan than…well, any other IP really), but hear me out.

Look at these Brickheads…they’re really good, capturing the ‘essences’ of the characters. I mean, they’re not the ‘Golden Age’ versions of the characters; Superman’s ‘S’ has that ‘dot’ at the end, and Diana’s not got a bird of her…um…moving on, the point is: look at last year: Fantastic Far…sorry, sorry, will try to behave, Four had a set…Supes had a movie too, and a set…that didn’t tie to said movie. No Supergirl set this year (although somewhat understandable), and there won’t be one for Clayface (really understandable), but…I mean…:
https://gamefound.com/en/projects/d20-culture/dc-justice-league-unlimited-roleplaying-game
There; if a Brazilian game company can see the ‘potential’ in a DC Comics license, why can’t TLG? And if ‘the movies’ can’t be drawn upon, what about the comics (DC's 'Absolute' line is doing good numbers, and the 'Mainline' is gaining traction)? Or the DCAU (Batman, Superman, Justice League, JLU…). And CAN’T emphasize this enough: HEY TLG, WHERE’S MY DC CMF2?!?!

By in United Kingdom,

This would be a great BrickHeadz set were it not for the exclusivity. The Decool versions of these are indistinguishable from the real thing if you replace any bricks having exposed studs with LEGO.
