21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V has proven to be one of the most popular LEGO Ideas sets yet and quickly sold out at shop.LEGO.com following its release on the 1st of June. Backorders are now being accepted once again in Europe and the set will be shipped by the 6th of September.

This is a fantastic set and I would recommend ordering soon to avoid missing out as it will probably only be back in stock briefly. Please consider using the following links and helping to support Brickset should you choose to make any purchases:

UK | Germany | France

Update: The set is now out of stock once again.

By in New Zealand,

I'm loving that this set clearly caught LEGO by surprise with its' popularity. It bodes well for future large Ideas sets being accepted.
I hope LEGO also makes other Space Program sets in the same 1:110 scale to accompany this too. My top 5 which are already Ideas proposals would be:
• Soyuz or Vostok 1 rocket (the rocket that took the first man into space to accompany the rocket that took the first men to the moon).
• Skylab stage for the Saturn V (if this isn't made as a set, which seems likely, I'd love the submitter to release the instructions or LDD file).
• Space Shuttle (there's a beautiful submission that's right on the cusp of 10,000 votes).
• Mercury and Gemini rockets (along with the space shuttle you'd have every NASA manned space program launch vehicle to date. The difference in size between these little rockets and the Saturn V would be amazing if built to scale).
• Both the Launch Umbilical Tower and Crawler Transporter to accompany the Saturn V and Space Shuttle.
The Ideas rules say that proposals can't be part of a line of products, but rules are meant to be broken. Especially if the Saturn V's popularity continues.

By in United States,

At least in the US, it still shows up as out of stock, with no way to even place a backorder. :(

By in Australia,

I was in Billund in June and they had a pile of these in the shop at opening at 12pm. I didn't grab one because I didn't want to walk around Legoland with a huge box for the rest of the day. They were, of course, all gone when I went back at 4:30pm.

Luckily I was in Westfield Stratford in the UK a week later and the Lego store there had a heap in stock. Grabbed one and carted it around London site seeing for the rest of the day! Also had to ferry it back to Australia in my luggage but a bit of tetrissing saw it fit in. So glad I went to the trouble as it's an amazing set. One of my favourite builds. Who would have thought a cylinder could be so interesting to put together?

By in United States,

Darn. You had my hopes up that it was available again in the US. Oh well, sooner or later it will be again.

By in United States,

In the states I just kept monitoring sites such as Wal-Mart and Amazon. A little over a month ago I scored 3 of them.

Absolutely amazing build and definitely one of the greatest Lego sets ever! Would be a shame not to deliver the tower and the crawler in the future. And I would love to see other real space builds (not fantasy Star Wars ships) in the future!

By in Australia,

Available in Australia too!

By in Norway,

Ordered one! Thank you for letting us know :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Still available on backorder in UK (6th Sep). Hoping this one will arrive after couriers 'lost' first one in June just as it went out of stock!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

At first, I didn't really care for the set. Then I saw how quickly it sold out and how positively it was received by the community. Now, reading "I would recommend ordering soon to avoid missing out as it will probably only be back in stock briefly", I placed a backorder...
I hate it when psychology takes the better of me, haha!

By in Norway,

I just waked up and went to Brickset and saw the headline, went straight to lego online shop and got my copy. Have been waited for it. Was a bit late when it first came.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

They were on the shelves at Leicester Square store yesterday.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Excellent, just in time before I need to order the fishing store as well!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Just placed my order! Don't want to miss it a second time! :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Also at Westfield London yesterday.

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

Aaaaaand it's in backorder again :D Unbelievable this set

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The one day I forget to check the website if it's available again and lo and behold, there it is! Got my order in now though and can finally relax.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Really weird, called Lego customer services and was told it's not been retired and there would be some stock coming.. checked brickset last night before going to bed and Boom!! Post to say back in stock.. cheers, got a couple ordered as I need one for a Christmas present and these ain't gonna get restocked after this back order I'm sure!!

By in Netherlands,

I'm glad I ordered this on the evening of may 31st as soon as the "add to bag" button lit up at shop @home. These bigger Ideas sets seem alot more popular and I reckon the same will happen with the old fishing store. 21310 will be a day one purchase for me aswell and I would recommend you order it ASAP if you want it fast or your only options left will be waiting a long time or paying scalper prices.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

well i hope that 21310 had more stock made for it's 1st run.
i not going to have the cash to get it for about 9 week's.
and i don't see a way a round that.
ah well.... i got my Apollo V on order so i am happy.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

ordered! It's on back order but I've waited this long another week won't hurt!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Oh, Brickset, I could hug you. I never got that email I was meant to get when it came back into stock, so if it wasn't for this post I probably wouldn't have known until it went out of stock again! I look forward to holding it in my arms. Just... really, really carefully.

By in United States,

Most Lego stores in the U.S. have been getting small shipments of the Saturn V on Tuesday mornings. They're usually gone by noon.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Been checking this site every day since out of stock, today it happened! Bought (through your link) immediately - only on back order but still... least i know it's coming!!!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Genuinely, what was the issue with its unavailability?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I'm taking a chance a will order this (and the other big sets) with double VIP/X-Mas freebies. Fingers crossed :-)

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

Just before it became available again, LEGO LEGO.com Hungary raised the price by 10% (but only in Hungary as far as I know)

Gravatar
By in United States,

IMHO they could have charged $199 for this set and it would still have sold out the same way!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

This really is a great set. I managed to grab mine a couple of days before official release from John Lewis!!! Grab one whilst you can, I wonder how many are in the hands of scalpers right now. It says stock coming soon on John Lewis right now.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

on back order as per usual , did not get my back order last time , will not hold my breath

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Glad I got mine as a first day purchase from LEGO.com. Even then it was on back order for a while. I suspected suply would be an issue.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I can understand why Lego usually favors Europe in regards to availability of their sets, but I think that US customers should have just as much opportunity to buy this set, considering that it is based on an iconic American rocket.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Like I said earlier, I had much better luck with Amazon and Wal-Mart online stores vs. the Lego site. But you just have to get lucky. Less than a hour after I placed my orders, both were sold out. Hottest toy of the year, and Christmas is right around the corner. Good luck to all catching a set. It is tremendous!

Gravatar
By in Portugal,

I was in Billund last July and they had a lot of sets, even by the end of the day. The price translated to 147€, much more than the 119€ I payed for each of the sets I bought. Certainly worth waiting. And many thanks for the heads up from Brickset. You guys rule!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I literally saw two of these at Toys r us today. They're around if you know where to look.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I was on the phone to Lego customer service (UK) at 9am on 25th August. They told me that 4,000 units were available through back order, then after that it will be out of stock again. However, they did say that it would become available again toward the end of the year.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Yay! Ordered. Well, back-ordered... but I'm in, finally! I was thinking I'd have to pay over $220 (before shipping) on Bricklink to get it, but I'm glad I waited. I got this set, plus another smaller set, and 3 series 17 minifigures for $195 shipped! That's pretty good for Australia, where everything seems to be 50% more expensive.

Gravatar
By in Czechia,

Cannot resist, order placed :) Now where to get more room from?

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

If you guys could add the NZ shop to your list of supporting sites id happily link through it everytime

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

FYI, on the UK site it now says "will ship by 9 Oct 2017".
Guess they're going quickly again. No surprise, good set at a reasonable price.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Virgilnz - Unfortunately LEGO currently only offers an affiliate scheme in the UK, US, Canada, Germany and France but thank you for your comment.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Was at my "local" LEGO-Store yesterday (in Copenhagen, DK) and saw it there - 7 copies on the shelf when I got in, by the time I left with mine (and some other stuff as well, obv) 15 min later, there where just 1 left on the shelf.... ;)

Gravatar
By in Norway,

And now it's "Temporarily out of stock" again, at least in Norway. Fortunately, mine will be shipped on September 6th. :)

Gravatar
By in Germany,

In Germany, like with almost all Ideas sets, the Saturn V has now finally been added to the catalogue at Kaufhof (stores as well as galeria-kaufhof.de). And thanks to one of their abundant sales, it is currently available for 104.99 Euro. Unfortunately, it is out-of-stock online, but many of the stores list it as still available.

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

Temporarily out of stock again. At least the Hungarian site shows so.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Temporarily out of stock in UK now too

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

Like the Turbo-Man action figure in a Schwarzenegger film :)

Anyway, 1 received, 1 under backorder, and I hope so that one more restock can be ordered later.
