I like how the set number uses all the same numbers as the year it was released!

I loved the little cars like this. They were so fun to zoom around!

I seem to remember that white slope with the "1" design popping up in more than a few sets back in the day.

Good ol' Race Car 1. It was no race car 3, but easily better than Race Car 2.

Jokes aside, there were lots of these little guys in the 80's and they were fun, inexpensive sets.

I really miss the little car and racecar sets like this. I hate to say it for being only 21 years old, but they don't make them like they used to. Of course, they'd just look like go-karts next to today's giant Lego cars.

It's funny seeing this in the news feed right below the thumbnail for the Porsche 919 Speed Champions review. I had one just like this one, but with larger wings and Shell logos on the sides.

These old sets have a certain charm to them. This one is so unrealistic as a racing car, yet just looking at it brings a smile to my face.

I think it is pretty close to a real go-cart.

I mean I love this, but 6503 Sprint Racer from 1988, which kinda resembles this one except with more detail, was always the most iconic classic race car to me.

6503 was one I had when I was a child. Loved that set!
