I love this little set. I remember it when I was a kid and its one of the first ones I bought coming out of my dark ages.

By in United States,

For months I begged my mom for this kit every time we went to Walmart, because even as a little kid I knew it was small enough for an impulse buy. Wise and frugal woman that she was and is, she refused each time - but I did get it for Christmas that year. It's still one of the best small cars Lego has ever released. Because of this kit, I'm still disappointed whenever I see a six-wide car that doesn't fit two minifigures side by side.

The set which sealed my fandom to the theme.

Love this little car. Very useful, and a big plus that minifigs can sit side by side. This is one of the few Adventurers sets I own, like that previous random set Spider's Secret.

One of the first Adventurers sets that I ever bought. Loved it. So many new and interesting pieces, at least for the mid 90s, in such a small set.

I got this set last year. So far it's my only Adventurers set.

In my opinion, it's so much better than some of the other one-minifigure Adventurers sets released at the time. It has plenty of accessories, and can easily be combined with some of the other Adventurers sets.

This set actually helped me to NOT to get to dark ages at all.

Great memories of this little set, so much crammed into such a small package.

One of my first Lego sets. Was about 4 when I got it. Started a lifetime of poverty and obsession with little ABS bricks ;)

Wish Lego would do Adventurers again.

I remember when I first saw this set, I thought I just have to get it. It was cool that you could have a small LEGO car that could fit two minifigures in it. Those vehicles are probably the main reason why I liked the Adventurers line.

This is one of my earliest LEGO sets! Wow. Random Set of the Day is always slapping that nostalgia right into my face!

Being able to sit two minifigures side-by-side in a reasonably sized car was a REVOLUTION, and it's still not something we see in a whole lot of themes given the need for half-stud offsets. Mini-doll themes at least can manage it fairly regularly due to the mini-doll's less wonky proportions.

And Johnny Thunder is certainly an iconic character for LEGO fans of my generation! It was nice when we got an updated version in https://brickset.com/sets/70815-1/Super-Secret-Police-Dropship! I collected less of the later Adventurers waves, but the initial Egypt wave really captured my imagination.
