'1 of 52 Sports sets produced that year'...someone at Lego loved sports in 2003!

Some of the sports-themed sets lent themselves well to Town and City settings. I liked some of the urban basketball-themed sets, and all the soccer stuff was really nice.

It is incredible to think that the price of the ball today is more expensive than the entire set back in 2003.

I wish I had 100s of those balls :(

I have always said the limited edition sets LEGO released in Europe for the 1998 World Cup are one of the nicest collections ever, and I am blessed to have a complete set for an amazing looking stadium. With the popularity of soccer continually increasing in the United States, I would imagine that this is a theme that might be worth coming back to for TLG.

"What a huge, highly detailed, and creative model!" - I say sarcastically

In all seriousness, I love these little polybags. Sure the builds aren't much, but they're super cute and can really flesh out larger displays. I especially loved the Studio ones (they made your filming lot look so much more alive) but that's a discussion for another day!
