This would go great with the new hospital! Glad I already have one : )

One of my first sets (specifically polybags) as a kid, still have it, still love it!

I love how the patient is on the street, totally safe right!?!

Wow, it's one of the few polybags from that era of City that I don't already own.

Off to eBay!

Gosh, these "Random sets of the day" have cost me a bit over the last few months. Seriously, I completed my collection of RES-Q sets, bought as much of the World Racers theme as I could, and just yesterday received half a dozen small sets from the 00s from a European seller. These random sets have been good for the hobby :).

Despite being a polybag released in 2007, this set in 2008 began to be featured in catalogs alongside sets from the new "impulse" line (sets 5610–21, all of which were boxed). It's unusual for a polybag to be in catalogs at all.

^I myself have this set and all of the 2008 $3.49 City sets. Also am waiting for the hospital as well for X-mas.

Doctor: Your surgery seems to went well but one minor problem.
Patient: What's that doc?
doctor: We're in the middle of the road
Patient: damnit

@Zordboy I often wonder what being featured as the random set of the day does for the popularity of a set. There must be quite a few folk that buy sets because it either makes them aware of something they weren't previously aware of, or triggers some nostalgia from their youth.

@captainbnj your comment made me spit out my cup of tea! Spot on!

(and my first thought was indeed why is the Doctor treating someone in the middle of the road. I mean I know NHS cuts are bad....)

And what's with the cup?

"Hang on, I'm not done with my morning coffee yet." * Slurp Slurp * "OK, sir, what seems to be the problem?"

This was a hard poly to find for me, when I did I grabbed a few and glad I did, Lots of useful parts in it and odd that it had two figures in it for only 2.99. Even 10 years ago it was a good deal

Like the Paramedic featured some time ago, this is a set that really isn't much good unless you've got Hospital/EMS sets or related MOCs.

And when is the last time a $3-4 polybag had two minifigs? For those with that stuff, this is a really good deal for a patient, doctor/nurse, and a hospital bed and IV pole/drip.

^30353 has 2 figures and is a 2018 set. In fact, 3 years in a row have had a Ninjago set with 2 figures in it. (30424 in 2016, and 30425 in 2017).

These were great for expanding on existing builds, or having fun when you couldn't afford the full sets.
