Omg I definitely had this as a kid! So many memories suddenly being remembered...

By in United States,

Had this set, but never built it for some reason. Its parts are probably somewhere in my Lego
tub-container

Six instruction books?! I'm sorry, but that's about five too many.

Oh wait, those are bag numbers...

Still, three instruction books?! That's about two too many.

The beginnings of Town Junior and much sadness.

@asherkobin Not really. Town Junior was 1997–2000. This is 2007.

I think in general, it's a good idea to use instruction manual scans for the set picture, but it feels sort of off for sets like this. It's mostly just the set in pieces, and I feel like the box art probably communicates what it was better.

^ Agreed but in many cases we don't have images of box art: it would have been too large to scan and back in 2007 few had decent cameras.

*Nostalgia intensifies*

The days back in '07 when you could get an entire Fire Station for only £40...

Still have this one and a few other fire sets from around the same time. Actually next on my list of sets to build before selling on.

I remember this, one of my plate pieces had a bit chunk missing, and I really regret losing it :(

I always assumed the multiple instruction booklet thing for city sets like this were so multiple kids could build simultaneously.

By in Netherlands,

I once got this from my younger brother along with the 66239 City Trains Super Set and the 7992 Container Stacker in exchange for my Playmobil and K'Nex. One of the best deals I ever made.

By in Ireland,

One of the first sets that was completely my own. Loved this station!

By in Finland,

Love this. Definitely my favorite fire station of all time.

By in Portugal,

Probably the best fire station ever.

This might also be my favorite fire station.

Having separate instructions makes it less expensive to print manuals when they mix and match to make more sets. Either of the trucks could be released as a stand-alone set, and Lego only needs to create a new cover for the manual.

This was the first City set I had ever seen, in KB Toys in fall 2007. So much nostalgia!
