Another lovely old building. Gosh, how long has it been since Lego City has had a post office?

This set is so classic. Perfect size to perform its function, stickers that add a ton (even if some are over the dreaded multiple bricks), and the little mail vehicle is just cute. Lego Town used to have such variety and character.

I never had this one, but I love it. It was before my time, but it has so much charm. It’s small and simple, but it still looks complete. I think there’s a lot to be said for that approach. The building sizes and styles we have now lend themselves to more detail and more interesting builds, but I think there’s also value in being able to put together a town with relatively fewer pieces. As natro220 said, they really do have character.

Another simple yet awesome set! I remwber picking this up along with 6651 post truck. The only real problem with it as natro said is the STAMP (how fitting) technique used for the large sign.

Truly one of the golden ages of Lego. Loved these town sets. They made such a great layout at a reasonable size...

Was this the last LEGO System post office until the winter village one??? Geez, and people complain about the infrequency of hospitals! The LEGO Island video game from 1997 had a cool post office that I MOC'd up with my own parts (easy to do, considering how small it was). What a shame! All those LEGO letter tiles, too.

By in Netherlands,

Another sweet set from Lego from another good Lego year for me but this one fell through the cracks. Would love to add this one to my collection.

Aw man, love to see a post office show up in LEGO city again. This is definitely needed.

I never quite understood why they didn't use a panel piece, which was used for the postal van that complements this set nicely, for the post office sign.

I think a post office would lend itself brilliantly for a modular building. Architecture, functionality and playability, it's got it all. It's long overdue in my opinion.

Agree that it was a great set at the time. The postal logo typical of excellent run of branded services like motorway and fire. In the UK stand alone post offices are in sharp decline and this part of Lego Town may be the first we soon look back on as a way of life lost from our towns

@LEGO Lord Mayorca
There actually was the 6689 Post Station (https://brickset.com/sets/6689-1/Post-Station). A rather small one, though.

6362 Post Office is a true classic Town Set. With quite a few bricks and an 8x24 baseplate, you get a post office, a postal car - and playability. Certainly recommened for classic Town builders. It is actually not that expensive on BrickLink... Hmm...

One of my all-time favourite sets!! I luckily have this and it’s smaller cousin (the blue one with the black roof) in my town and agree with the other posts about how small buildings like this give a town it’s character! Love the colour scheme, small sorting area, the shelves for parcels and the “new” style doors and windows as I always think of them! I had to replace the big sticker a few years ago and printed out and replaced my own red equivalent on photo paper! Agree it’s madness to stick across two bricks - my Shell garage is the same...
Golden age of little buildings!!!

If I remember correctly, this was a set that my sister received for Sinterklaas in 1982, but she was never really into Lego, which is why it ended up in my collection. Excellent set, with lots of play-ability, especially for the six-year old kid I was back then. Two years later I also got https://brickset.com/sets/6622-1/Mailman-on-Motorcycle, which was an excellent addition to this set.

A two-hour lunch break . . . that postie's living the dream!

By in Portugal,

I think LEGO should do a new post office or things related to mail.

This brings back memories - I think I had this one!

Indeed, not a bad idea to bring this back for a modular building.

Ah. Childhood memories. Got this set from my parents when I was 4 back in 1982.

A truly lovely set from Lego’s finest time when sets were smaller and left more to imagination. Wonderful baseplate. Only complaint was the sticker quality of these sets.

The most recent Post Office they did was in 2015. It was one of the alternate builds of the Creator 3-in-1 Toy & Grocery Shop (31036). That said, I really wish they'd do a Post Office in the Creator Expert Modular Building theme. That and a library (which--as you can tell from my screenname--I am particularly biased towards).
