Still got it, still works. This set brought many of my early creations to life, back when my childhood Technic collection consisted of 8034, 8842, 8854 & 8837. Price tag on the box says £14.99 from Toys R Us. Great memories!
^Well, unless you have a Costco card. Only $20 for 64 batteries.
Oh the memories
I used this set's successor, 8735 to bring 8448 Super Street Sensation to life. Also still works. 6 AA's... but I runs fine on rechargeables if I remember.
This set changed my Technic world...
I was able to make incredible constructions with this set.
Better than Power Functions.
I guess you could say that today's featured set is ELECTRIC!
(end my life)
I wanted this motor so bad but it was hard to buy in Poland back then and it was too expensive for my parents. Eventually I took a motor from some other plastic toy and I managed to wrap it in brick build box so I could finally run my little technic builds. I was so happy that I could build that with Lego bricks and some random motor!
I got this for Christmas 1996, and it still works.
