I love this set! It makes a great drawbridge for trains, too!

I never even knew this thing existed. :-P

Swooosh!

Never knew of this either. Awesome kit! Looks easy to rebuild, except for the girders, which are not available in the U.S.

By in Australia,

I dont think Ive ever seen this one before. Must've had a really big box for something of its price range.

By in Turkey,

It looks more like a creator set than a city set. I think it's too big for city scale.

The 7990 has a special structure of the frame parts, is a very special construction vehicle, large and amazing!

Really want that drawbridge piece...

By in United Kingdom,

Wow... they really don't make them like they used to! This thing looks amazing!

By in Canada,

I know I had some of those bridge parts in orange for some reason. Exo-Force? Shame parts so big are rare...

By in France,

15 quid. If only!!!

That is a set I am sorry I missed out on. I wish they would revisit the construction, demolition, and farming sub themes.

By in Spain,

It is the one I want!! The one that I need for completing my construction set collection. As a Civil Engineer, it is a must-have. Saving money for buying it in Bricklink.

By in United Kingdom,

I was lucky enough to buy all of the construction sets in 2005/6 and have three of these to make a huge bridge

By in Portugal,

I wish the LEGO CITY sets these days were like this.

@Ty S. @magmafrost

You must be too young to remember, then. ;)

Those big gray elements were cool for sure.

By in United States,

I don’t have this set, but have at least 12 of those gray bridge pieces!

OG Lego city needs a comeback.

I'm pretty sure that, nowadays, you'd never get a set this big with only one minifigure in it... they'd likely have bulked up the price by having a couple more construction guys on hand, I imagine.

On that thought, has anyone thought of adding a random minifigure browser, like we have the random set one? I just thought it could be cool ^^

@BionicleJedi a Random Minifigure of the Day would be awesome! Can't believe I never thought of that before. This set has been on my Wanted List for ages, purely for the fantastic bridge pieces. I bet they cost a pretty penny on Bricklink.

@Lego.lord: I dunno if I agree with that, since the type of truck that would carry something as big as a bridge in real life would be considerably bigger than a normal flatbed or container truck. Also, City itself has had its fair share of 8-wide trucks like #60061-1, #60026-1, #7213-1, #7633-1, and #7998-1. I can see how the angular cab design here feels more Creator-ish than we’re used to with today’s City trucks, though.

This one has been on my wanted list for soooo long.

I would love to see something like this re-released.

By in Italy,

Now, THIS is a great set for a re-issue.

By in United States,

This was a limited release in the US at Toys R Us stores, and I missed it locally when I lived in Tennessee. I went to California later that year to visit family and was returning home on a long road trip with my son, so I stopped at my old childhood Toys R Us in Fontana California, and there she was; 7900 Heavy Loader, on 1/2 clearance sale. My son scored a bunch of Bionicle and Exo-Force, some Nintendo product, and a few odds and ends for the road, but all I needed was the 7900.

By in France,

This is a great set. At the moment it’s transporting an AT-AT down the road in my son’s bedroom, followed by the escort truck from set 7747.

Early Lego city had some insanely big, mainly construction sets. 7344, 7249, 7900, 7905, 7244, 7893, 7994, 7998, 7723. I wish we'd get more insane, big sets. Then again I don't have enough room.

I love that no one has an issue with large, specialized pieces in this case. I certainly don't either... and I wish there were more sets containing large bridges in general, of all types.
