Not making fun of the set, I'm just making fun of how ridiculous that pose is.
This is supposed to be the bad guy, and that is definitely not a threatening pose.

vladek again? is he using sorcery to stay on the front page? he should possibly use it to cure the bad case of rickets his bandy legs suggest he has XD

Hi Vlad!

Knights Kingdom sets are the only sets I've ever sold without hesitation when they turned up in a bulk lot. Although I find it amusing that those odd little curved pieces on their arms and legs are still being used today.

Knights Kingdom tends to get forgotten about a bit, but I don't know. I think there was a lot of potential, there, that went to waste.

Like, does anyone else feel like, in a few years time, Lego is going to be scouring back through the archives, looking for a villain for some new enterprise (a new subtheme or video game or whatever), and just think, "You know, we never really got our money's worth out of Vladek the Scorpion Knight"?

Strange set.

To be fair, I think the purpose of the pose was more to show off 'hey look, he's poseable!' than to actually represent how he was supposed to stand xD

Personally, I like this version of him better than the later ones... this helmet design, to me, had a lot more personality to it than the subsequent look, and I'll always prefer the classic KKII torsos because they could actually be built onto the front of. Though I might be biased, because I didn't really invest in the theme beyond its first year, so the characters' 04 designs are always going to be the authentic ones to me.

Also, this just brings back to my mind that "Chronicles of Vladek" photo comic that someone on BZPower made, back in the day... where Vladek was thrown into the Bionicle world and got himself into all sorts of trouble. Fun memories ^^
