I wish they still made those chrome helmets! They look good!

By in Australia,

I found these sets in Woolworths (an Australian grocery chain) one Christmas, IIRC. There was four, in total. Each one had a different silver-chromed piece of armour. I didn't buy this one (I already had a black dragon, that came out with the Fright Nights. He was too important, to my ongoing Lego storyline, to buy a second), but I picked up the sets with the silver shield and silver chest-plate. I thought they were nifty little sets.

I did eventually pick up another sword, and the helmet, on Bricklink, so Cedric the Silver Bull has been a part of my Lego rogue's gallery ever since.

The one shame is that the chrome fades and crumbles, over time. Poor Cedric's helmet doesn't look as shiny as it did 18 years ago, put it that way.

As an aside, these dragons were Lego's first real attempt a minifig-scale dragon beast, and I know they look a bit dinky (compared to the modern era dragons of Castle or Ninjago, or even the Elves) ... but they'll always occupy a soft spot in my heart.

I never realized the old lion knights and company hailed from Solstheim!

By in Australia,

My user name is Chromeknight, taken from this exact series of sets. Like Zordboy I grabbed these from Woolworths. I still have the fig with all the accessories (and the user name!) 20 years later.

Wow, a black dragon and a shiny helmet. What a catch this set was. Too bad I wasn't into castle at the time. And I think the dragon looks quite nice even today, fits right in.

By in Hungary,

For me, this is the ultimate lego dragon (and the green counterpart of course)

By in Netherlands,

I was thinking: I had this set (and the other three) but I sold them... but then I just realized that I actually still own this set, and all the parts! I believe I bought them all on steep discount; probably the equivalent of €2.00 each.

By in United Kingdom,

Wasn’t there three three sets like this? This one with the shiny helmet, another with a shiny sword and a third with a shiny shield
Checking the links up above reveals there was a fourth I didn’t remember, one with a shiny chest plate. Was there a story reason for the chrome get up or did Lego just want to make something shiny?

Ahh I loved this castle range.
Remember I got about 10 of these boxes, not all of this one but a mix of all 4 and mainly the little cart, which were only £1 each in toys r us about..... 12 years ago.

Those old dragons where so adorable and the black and red ones where definitely the coolest! Little packs like these where great for amassing a lot of them. The original Knights Kingdom was a line I haven't done a lot of research on, I didn't realize The Bulls had dragons!

Looks a lot like 6007; Bat Lord!
(and both sets have fewer parts then Tree 2 ;-) )

Knights Kingdom was not the best subtheme of castle, but the small sets and promotional sets were great. I have plans for a landscape for this subtheme, but that'll have to wait. Great set, just like the other three. :)

Don't mind me. Just riding my dragon in my shiny helmet like an absolute boss.
I'm not even holding on.

Oh heeeey, I had this one! :D I remember, I found it in Woolworths in... Glasgow, I believe? maybe a couple of years later, and had never seen it before... I had to war with myself over which of the four sets to actually get; but settled in this one, in the end, because it was the only one that wouldn't give me a duplicate of a minifig I already had.

The dragon was literally just an extra bonus to me, I was more interested in the minifigures than anything else about this theme xD

This dragon is so small.

KB Toys carried all four of these Chrome Castle sets in the USA and I bought a load of them at their closeout 3/$10 price. Parting them out I discovered that many were missing parts in the series from the factory, but after calling Lego Customer Service and detailing what I found and what distribution information I had, I felt I helped them narrow down the problem in QC.

I have one of those dragons in my display collection, but I got it in set 6007 a few years before this set was released.
